If you hit your receivers in the hands and the other team intercepts the ball, that is not on the QB. Thompson is the most accurate ball thrower we have had in years.

It is if the pass is thrown behind them and drilled. Just getting hands on a ball doesn't mean squat.

Losing Vokolek mattered because there was obviously a trust connection and better ability. But Thompson was just off in the second half. It didn't help that the run game was pathetic,
Yeah - it mattered because this staff can’t seem to recruit a tight end worth a damn. And god forbid we go 5 WR or 4 or 3 and 2 RB - Since we have a ton of them on scholarship Let’s play a tight end no matter what - even one that can’t play a lick

Big loss. Was shocked at how bad our backup was.
Agree Thompson played pretty well. Had zero support from the run game and some really bad drops. He missed a few but overall QB play looked like an upgrade from last year.

Agreed, Thompson played excellent despite us having no run game. He is the furthest thing from our problem
One thing I have a question about is why Thompson never took the ball on RPO plays and ran with it. If teams figure out he doesn't want to run and is always handing off, there is no chance for our already horrible looking run game.
