Hahaha, well that's not exactly how things work. But I know you know that.

I get your point though. This whole narrative that we have some kind of all world defense is a little overblown. We have played a total of 2 teams with a winning record to this point and our defense has given up 81 points between the two of them.
We are damn lucky we play in the B1G West.

Before I did any looking, my thought is Haarberg should start with Sims getting designated playing time unless the offense is really rolling, which has not happened yet this season. After looking at the stats I feel the same.

Minnesota Score Def 26.7 (10) = -16.7 Total Def 373.2(295) = -78.2
Colorado Score Def 34.2 (14) = -20.2 Total Def 465.5(341) - 124.5

Sims QB scoring avg was -18.5 and Total offense was = -101.3 yds

N. illinois Score Def 26.0 (35) = +9 Total Def 354.4 (382) = + 27.6
La Tech Score Def 27.0 (28) = +1 Total Def 384.4 (419) = + 34.6
Michigan Score Def 6.7 (7) = +0.3 Total Def 233.3 (305) = + 71.7
Illinois Score Def 28.8 (20) = -8.8 Total Def 401.5 (312) = -89.5

HH QB scoring avg was = +1.5 and Total Offense was = +44.4 yds

Sims throws a pick for every 5 completed passes. He somehow had this start even though he’s faced #127 and # 70 defenses.. both said defenses give up over 6 yards per play 😮

If you could make a qb on a game like madden or ncaa, it would physically be like sims. Tall, strong arm, can make all the throws, runs a 4.4. He would be rated 80-90's in everthing except awareness....... it would be like 8 lol. Dude needs something like cocaine and adderall to make him play without choking.
