As much as I hate to admit....

As much as I hate to admit it, it looks like the ones who claimed that the SEC was better than the other conferences were right. The top 4 SEC teams, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, and Alabama could beat the top teams of any other conferences and they actually proved it on the field by dominating their opponents.

To be honest, Tennessee and Alabama looked to be more deserving of being in the playoffs than TCU.

Football Three Quick Thoughts: Nebraska's latest OL transfer Walter Rouse

Nebraska netted a huge transfer portal addition on Wednesday night by landing Stanford OL Walter Rouse. It's a massive pickup for Matt Rhule, Donovan Raiola and the Huskers.

Here are three quick thoughts from @Steve Marik on how Rouse impacts the Huskers:

Recruiting Baylor OL transfer and top Nebraska target Micah Mazzccua commits to Florida

Baylor OL transfer Micah Mazzccua, one of the Huskers' top OL transfer targets, has committed to Florida over Nebraska and Auburn. Thought that the Huskers had a great shot with him but now more attention will turn toward Stanford OL transfer target Walter Rouse.

Recruiting 2024 QB Daniel Kaelin sees fit at Nebraska, feels like a top priority

Spoke with Bellevue West 2024 QB Daniel Kaelin after his Junior Day visit to Nebraska. I like the way things are trending here for the Huskers. Some really good stuff rom Danny including what type of offense Marcus Satterfield is pitching to recruits.

“From what I'm hearing from them I'm definitely a priority for them,” Kaelin said. “Coach Rhule told me the first time I talked to him that he does not want me to leave the state and he wants me to be at Nebraska. I definitely feel like I'm a priority for them, that's for sure."

Does the CFP have a blowout problem?

fgcuy8b.png

After last night's demolition (which was the worst bowl loss ever), 63% of College Football Playoff games have been decided by a margin of victory of 17 or more points. 26% have been decided by 28 or more points. It's kinda stunning. There has never been a Playoff that featured 3 good close games.

Obviously the genie will never go back into the bottle, but is the Playoff actually resulting in a better product than the old bowl system? Is it creating better football matchups, or more entertainment value? And will expanding the playoff help?
