Raiola

Both TOS also reporting that Georgia is the favorite for Raiola. So where do we go from here if that’s true? Did Matt Rhule’s tweets mean nothing? What happens to Donovan? I can’t fault the kid for going to Georgia but man it seems like he could have built something special here.

Transfer Portal Success

I recall all the sports writers saying that Nebraska benefited more than any other team from the transfer portal. Either the bar was set fairly low on what “benefited“ meant or the evaluation of the transfer talent was poor, or we just couldn’t improve with this new talent. We are now all agog again about transfer talent thinking its going to make a big difference. I hope we can do more with this years talent than last year.

Recruiting Huskers set to host 2024 four-star TE for unofficial visit this week

Ian Flynt's dad reached out to me to let me know that Ian will be visiting Nebraska this Friday on the first day of the contact period. The plan is for the family to arrive in Lincoln on Thursday then be on campus Friday. After that, they will head to Kansas for an unofficial visit to see what Lance Leipold has going on.

If Flynt's name sounds familiar it might be because I have an early FutureCast in for him to be a Husker. Both his parents were track athletes at Nebraska and his sister is transferring to Nebraska for track.

I don't get these rankings

I know this is waaaaaaay too early but.....

Especially these two with Wisconsin undergoing a personality shift and the other... Sheesh

16. Wisconsin

The Badgers are a team on the rise. With Luke Fickell (a brilliant defensive mind) sharing hall space with Phil Longo (a brilliant offensive mind), and former SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai sharing a backfield with Braelon Allen, a Big Ten West division crown isn't out of the question.

21. Colorado

It's Coach Prime Time in Boulder, and the Buffaloes ought to look ready to compete in a loaded Pac-12 with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter each rocking the black and gold this season.

Dylan R post game thoughts

Ouch.

“I’ll start off by saying TCU had a fantastic year and they had a great football team, but you can just tell it’s different,” Raiola told On3. “Georgia is different. The way they do everything is first class.

“Everyone around the building is shooting for the same thing. The relationships with players to staff feels like a family. What coach Smart has been able to do is extremely special. Like I said in the beginning, it’s different.

“Georgia is a special place. Going 15-0 is unheard of. it just shows how the players buy into coach Smart and all his coaches.”
