I just saw that Arizona State has become an AAU member. Could Arizona State be planning on making a move to the B1G? It would make a lot of sense for a couple of different reasons.

1st and foremost, Arizona State would get the B1G network into the Phoenix market. 2nd, it would give USC and UCLA another travel partner, although it would likely mean that they would add another team from out west to balance out the number of teams in conference. Perhaps Stanford, Cal, Oregon, or Washington would be the other team that would get added in addition to ASU.

Just watched his interview with Dave Revsine on BTN. The guy gives off serious Kevin Warren vibes. Heavy on word salad and short on accountability. Pretty sad. Has been invisible publicly until today.

Heard interesting insight from Luke Reimer and Ethan Piper about what it's like to be in Matt Rhule's "tight ship."

If you don't do what's asked, you're going to pay the consequences. And after the Bob Wager news, it's apparent Rhule is doing what he's said he would — holding his own staff accountable, too. Not just the players.

Frost already didn't care at the BIG meeting last year

Volleyball player(s) pissed that training table was closed to them and what they believed did not applybfootball for a period of time

Jeff Sims gave his opinion of several Nebraska pass catchers at Media Days, including the three main tight ends, Billy Kemp, some freshmen who have caught his eye and some extensive thoughts on Zavier Betts.

Some thoughts on the Bob Wager situation, and how I think Matt Rhule has it handled because he appears to be one hell of a CEO.

Not seeing a post on this, slipped under my radar until I was looking up the conference tournament details this morning.


Format didn't change regarding number of teams or the single-game final. Rather they changed the schedule to extend by a day, starting on Tuesday instead to give more wiggle room for rain delays. They also got rid of the bracket crossover for semis, which I don't like. The crossover gives more variety in matchups. As it stands, the two brackets remain wholly separate until the single-game champtionship

I do like giving more time for the bullpens to recover for a few teams.

I'm curious if the two-game days (Wed and Fri) when the games will be separate "sessions" since first pitch is listed as 2pm and 7pm rather than 2pm and 6pm or 3pm and 7pm.

They didn't change the order of any games.

Friday-Sunday didn't change from prior years other than Friday start times.

Ethan Piper was a star at Big Ten Media Days for his candid and thorough insight into the Huskers.

There was a lot to dissect from his 25 minutes at the mic, and in the story below I break down three of the biggest takeaways – including this banger of a quote:

“The nice thing is the coaches don’t go out on the field to play every Saturday, it’s the players. So we dictate how our season looks. So, yeah, I understand it’s a new staff, new system change. But, to me, it’s not an excuse for us not to win games. Having a mindset of ‘we’re just rebuilding, it’s OK to lose games,’ that should never be our mindset when you’re playing football.”

1) I just watched the interview Damon did with Rhule. Great interview and insight from Rhule. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't seen it to check it out.

2) It's pretty obvious to me that Damon loves him so Matt Rhule. It's hard to imaging Caleb not ending up N when it's all said and done.

3) I love me some Matt Rhule too!

I'm late on seeing this, but it looks like the state of Nebraska has another tight end with D1 potential — Caden Frey of Red Cloud, which plays six-man football.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Frey caught 42 passes for 881 yards and 17 touchdowns last season as a junior. On defense, he recorded 74 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions.
