Uncommitted - Cameron Lenhardt (Omarion Miller commits to Colorado)

Those are two previous Nebraska commits who still remain uncommitted. Lenhardt though is widely expected to announce for Nebraska on January 3. Miller on the other hand is a mystery since he apparently hasn't committed any where yet. Don't think most of the recruiting gurus know where Miller is going which is surprising.

UPDATE: Omarion committed to Prime at Colorado.

What's the plan for TE

Sounds like Satterfield liked to run 2 TE sets a lot at SC. Nebraska is very unproven at the TE spot. I know we're anointing Fidone, but can he stay healthy? Will he be the same? Is he good? Hickman just can't put on size. After that what do we have? Do Carnie or Rollins have 'it?' We don't seem to active in the portal for that position and have no JUCO players lined up.

Rhule Comments on OL

Maybe this is noted in another post. If so sorry for the repeat but I didn't see it.

Found it interesting that Rhule was very defensive about the OL in his comments today. He said he did NOT agree that the OL was the problem last year. And he likes Raiola as the OL coach for basically two reasons: one, the players love him and two, he coaches the OL in the style that is consistent with Rhule's thinking (apparently Rhule thinks there basically are 3 different ways to coach the OL and Raiola coaches the way he wants). He thought part of the problem with the OL has been it wasn't properly coordinated with the QB play. He thinks it is very important for his OC/QB coach to understand the OL play/needs. He said he had his OC (Coach S.) work with coaching the OL in the past so he understands that.

Rhule said. “We’re going to have a good offensive line this year. I think you need to have a commitment with them, and an identity on offense for what we’re going to do.” Rhule, who has a background in coaching offensive line, said he naturally gravitates towards that group in practices, along with the defensive line. “I’m going to fight for those guys, I like those guys,” Rhule said of the current group of offensive linemen.

Interesting to see how the OL does next season, it's obviously something that Rhule has given some thought to already.

Random thoughts for a day off

1. Watched part of the Syracuse/Wake Forest game on ACC Network. The defense that they run in all honesty looks just like Chin's. Small up front. I don't like that, but who cares what I think?

2. Then watched part of the first game between USC and Utah. From this game and from the championship game, the best QB in both of those games is Cam Rising, but they gave the freaking Heisman Trophy to Caleb Williams. I honestly can see Rising being a Kirk Cousins in the NFL.

Huge Husker Volleyball Pickup

"Florida outside hitter/right-side hitter Merritt Beason will transfer and join the Nebraska volleyball team, she announced Friday on social media."

If you watched Florida play this year you had to come away impressed with Beason. Trouble is now we are WAY overloaded on outside hitters. Some really good players will have to transfer to play and who could blame them.

Outsides
Lauenstein
Batenhorst
Krause
Kubik (Hayden)

Incoming freshmen outsides
Jurevicius
Murray

And now Beason, 7 legitimate outsides. All 7 could start for 90% of the teams in the power 5.

Receivers

Did Nebraska sign the fastest set of receivers in the nation? With 3 guys running a 10.5 or better that has to be the fastest set of receivers to ever to sign in one class at Nebraska. However I absolutely love how Rhule emphasized how much he was going to be involved in both the lines and how the lines dictate what kind of team you will have. Rhule definitely has a plan and is following it, it’s great to see and gives all of us hope !

USC is gonna get absolutely destroyed in the B1G

Holy shit. I mean, not even close. I know there are a number of Husker fans who don't like the B1G or still like to make fun of the conference for whatever reason, but not only are they about to have two teams in the playoff, but they are going to straight murder USC when they enter the conference.

Michigan, Ohio St.*, Wisconsin, PSU and maybe even NU depending on the kind of offense Rhule installs, is just going to go in dry on them. And I say that as a USC fan (second favorite team).

We saw it last week in the UM/OSU game and now with this game. You can have all the talent in the world. But nothing replaces getting smacked in the mouth.

*OSU was a lot like USC. They were more talented than Michigan, but Michigan just murdered them at the LOS.
