College Bowls dying a not so slow death…

The Orange Bowl is like an afterthought. No energy. Halftime show used to be monumental. Game is not even on NY eve. In general players are opting out or on the move. The bowl game is basically a minI vacation but no real Excitement. College football needs to really look at the product they are pushing…feels like it is melting down.

What The TCU win and best group of 5 Tulane prove

that the game is definitely getting more spread out with talent and really good coaching.

The move to 12 teams instead of two and four is making it more likely that these lesser teams that are NOT in the top five can recruit players because now they can be part of a playoff if they just get in the top 12. about a decade if not 2 too late in my opinion

Haven’t checked this thoroughly, but I believe TCU was the first underdog not only did not get blown out to it to actually win the semi final game as a team who wasn’t even supposed to be in a week or two ago so there’s progress and then went to lanes doing is more progress. These teams would’ve made the top 12.

so to me, it was a little bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. When we kept it to two and four will of course you’re gonna be top loaded there but now when you’ve got 24 teams potentially vying for a playoff spot or more the last few weeks of a season that’s awesome and it’s going it make this game is better and great players don’t just have to go to Bama Georgia etc

While the Huskers have already taken five wide receivers from the high school ranks and the transfer portal, a pair of transfer targets are still in play for Nebraska. North Carolina A&T transfer Sterling Berkhalter picked up a Nebraska offer earlier in the week, followed by an offer to Hillsdale College wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa on Thursday.
Additionally, recent decommitments from a pair of 2023 linebacker recruits could spell opportunity for Nebraska. Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley twin brothers Andrew and Michael Harris, both four-star recruits, decommitted from UCF two weeks ago.
