so
@SantaBarbaraSker 's post re: the C8 Z06 Corvette he's gonna take me for a ride in (in
a few years 😳), got me surfing all sorts of car sites late into the night last night. thanks again for little sleep SB.
for the last few years i'll orbit into the '
we need to get a classic car' mode. my wife sort of tolerates my fantasies in this area, but i'm looking to take this across the goal line and actually make a purchase in '23.
i am impressed with the collective knowledge of this board across a broad variety of topics. so i have a question for those particularly knowledgeable about classic cars . . .
what are your choices for classics today whose value is likely to make a bigger jump than the field in the next few years? i'm open to a wide range of makes and models, why not go with the one that is just about to have a bigger jump in value in the future. make sense?and yes, i know this is crystal ball territory. but some of you people are super smart in this arena i am convinced. so i'm all ears.
i not only like lots of classics, but i like good investments too. i'm probably thinking $50k-$100k-ish. actually i'd be thinking maybe $175k and down, but think the $100k is about all i could get past the boss and she'd have to
love it. hence my desire to be armed with, "But the guys on Insider's Board
guarantee a bigger jump in value than most classics, Babe! It's an
investment in our future." ya see where i'm going here, right?
so have at it if anyone has any thoughts to share and thanks in advance for any input. i'll post a few pics below over the next hour or so of cars i look at and think, yeah, i'd take
that in a heartbeat.
question is, if you were playing with house money (50-100k), and wanted a classic you not only loved but felt was currently undervalued, what would it be? thanks for playing!
GBR!!!
