We're back at Haymarket Park today on another cloudy, cold day as Nebraska (7-4-1) hosts Illinois State (5-6) to begin the three-game home weekend series. The Huskers have been on a roll by winning seven of their last eight games including a quick two-game sweep of Northern Colorado as Nebraska scored 26 runs and smacked eight home runs. Here's that series recap:

The Redbirds come into this weekend series having lost four of their last five losing two of three from Central Arkansas while losing a single midweek game to No. 3 Arkansas last week. Here's a preview of the Redbirds for this weekend:

Tonight has the possibility of a pitcher's dual as it will be LHP
Emmett Olson (1-1, 4.32 ERA, 16.2 IP) vs. RHP Derek Salata (2-0, 1.72 ERA, 15.2 IP). Now, Salata probably isn't as good as his ERA indicates, but by no means is he bad. I expect a sweep, but if the Redbirds swipe a game, it'll be today.
