OT: Bad movies you like

This is the standard answer to any "Horrible movie that is awesome" question. I watch this about once a year. It is almost literally the perfect storm of bad movies. Horrible script, horrible acting, and horrible directing. I have seen porn movies that made more sense than this tragedy. The James Franco movie ABOUT this movie was awesome.

Not a bad movie. Who doesn't love The Boomstick? Or are we just considering B movies to be bad. Bc then absolutely They Live and Big Trouble in Little China to be near the top of their list. But I don't view any of those three to be "bad movies".
My wife said it was a bad movie so that’s why I included it 🤣

It's interesting to see all of the varying opinions on what constitutes a bad movie...80's cheese, cult classics, horror movies, raunchy comedies, etc. Many of the movies mentioned are nostalgia picks. It probably reflects the demographics of the board...mostly guys in a similar age bracket.

Bro, who could forget the Tromaville movies?? Were those mentioned? The toxic avenger was probably the best worst movie ever

Miami Heat (aging cop Fred Ward vs psycho bad guy Alec Baldwin)
Night of the Creeps
The Transporter
Hamburger the Motion Picture

Summer School is one of those movies that feels like it should have been a bigger 80's hit. It had all the elements. Pretty big star, school setting, rom-com stuff, sort of a John Hughes feel to it.

But, like Can't Buy Me Love, it just didn't end up as big as it seemed like it should have.
The super pretty girl in 'Can't Buy Me Love' sadly went off the rails and ended up dead.
She was so endearing and real in that movie she might have ended up a big star.

What are some movies generally considered bad, but you like?

Some of my list...

MacGruber
Step Brothers
Rad
A Night at the Roxbury
The Counselor
Mojave
Valerian and the City of One Thousand Planets
Starship Troopers (Debatable if it's considered a bad movie or not)

Porkey’s. I believe it was rated worst movie of the year but it was so popular they made a sequel.

Some good mentions. Some of you dont know what “bad” means.

People crap on roger moore james bond films but i love all of them, even the bad ones.

Wagons East.

Almost Heroes. Fantastic bad film.

Heavyweights.

Speaking of 007, people hate diamonds are forever but i love it.

80s cheesy teen Chick flick choice: cant buy me love. Good movie.
Almost Heroes is the most underrated comedy of all time. Nothing about it spells bad.

Samurai Cop is incredible. It reminds me of The Room. Was it a serious attempt at a movie or was it made as a joke?

The star said he knew it was a POS when the movie was being made but like The Room it wasn't purposefully bad. It was just filmmaker incompetence so there was a purity to the shittiness that somebody setting-out to make schlock can't duplicate.

Yep. In the case of both movies, the creator was foreign. I'm guessing that played into the sincere attempt to make an "American" film.

I am guessing most people have no idea how hard it is to make a film. I can't even imagine all the work/time/effort that goes into making a film just look "normal"

I guess at USC film school they study Back to the Future as "the perfect script/movie"
