Biggest positive from SG?

I would say the biggest positive that I saw and wasn’t expecting was the defense looks ahead of schedule IMO. Was overall impressed with how they tackled and for being a new defense I saw limited confusion or blown assignments. After years of our LBs looking confused pre snap or waiting for calls to come in it was very refreshing.

If Tony White keeps them on this trajectory it could bode very well for the teams prospects this fall. They clearly have something with some of the young guys too. Rhule may have landed a future coaching star in T Knight.

Thoughts on today’s game

Sims looks good. Smooth, poised, in control. Looks like a guy who played a lot of football. No problem whatsoever if he’s the starter this fall.

Purdy - still unsure of himself. He will be buried on the death chart.

Ervin. Wow! Give him the ball. Workhorse

Kemp IV - a guy we can count on. The next
Tourre. I like the idea of proven wide receivers out of the portal. He’ll be our #1.

Haarberg - decent showing, tough runner, inconsistent as a passer. He will not be in the conversation for a starting job. Sus decision making. A 3rd teamer at best.

Defenses - nice ballhawking and pursuit/effort

1st team o line - underwhelming. DLine won the day easily. Raiola has his work cut out.

Very mistake prone game by the offense, sloppy football. So.Many.Fumbles!😡

Corcoran came off limping 😩

Did not watch the second half, nothing to be gained there.

YouTube/Podcast Segments on the Site

How do you guys feel about the YouTube/Audio reporting on the site?

From a high level, I DO NOT like the content. Most of my husker time is spent at work, or in the living room/bed with my wife, and she does not want to hear the noise. In public places, while waiting for a table, or an oil change, I cannot listen to it. Lastly, without being too personal, I just straight up don't like the content. I don't think it's edited particularly well, and I don't feel much of a "radio voice/personality" from the creators.

With that in mind, I feel like I'm missing out on a lot this spring. For instance, it's Monday at 10AM and the only reporting on the recruits, is a massively long video that I'm not going to watch and the "chapter skips" are not optimizing to my phone properly.....

FWIW, I did enjoy 1 show a week, from the old site runners. I think one lunch break a week, it was nice.....but even then, as soon as I realized they were releasing the material elsewhere, I stopped listening and just absorbed it via the scrolls, or the "quick hits".

This just isn't convenient for me(as a consumer). How does everyone else feel?

OT: Your favorite little things in life

A hot day of good golf and then coming in after 18 and having a burger and a couple ice cold ones with your buds.

A cool but comfortable day of successful pheasant hunting with family and a great dog. An ice cold coke upon completion.

As a youngster, driving around with my dad and brother road hunting listening to Pavelka announce an NU ass kicking.

Football Jeff Sims reflects on first spring at NU, thinks 'special' year lies ahead

Today, Jeff Sims reflected on his first spring season at Nebraska, which reportedly had an uneven start but smoothed out over the last two weeks or so.

Next up for Sims and his team? Big things, if you ask him.

"I feel like this team can be very special this season – like right now. So we’ve just gotta take it up a notch this summer and go hard."

Ohio four-star defensive end Brian Robinson was on campus today for the spring game. I thought I spotted him pre-game but I got it confirmed after the game. Really good looking defensive end prospect with 36 total offers including Michigan, Georgia, Penn State.
