Baseball Nebraska unveils 2024 schedule

The Nebraska Baseball team released its full 56-game schedule this morning. The Huskers will have 27 home games this season which includes a stretch of 11 games in 13 contests starting in early March. Nebraska didn't win enough to garner an NCAA Tournament appearance, but they'll face five opponents this season that made it in 2023. That includes Big Ten champion Maryland, Indiana, Iowa, Nicholls and Texas Tech.
NU will have a chance to establish some early wins when they go down to Texas to take part in the Shriners Children's College Showdown (Feb. 16-18) at Globe Life Field with Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

Home non-conference series include South Alabama, Nicholls, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, New Mexico State, Kansas and Kansas State. Home conference series foes are Ohio State, Maryland, Iowa and Indiana. A tough slate.

The Huskers will face Omaha once at home on March 19 while facing Creighton three times — once at home and twice on the road. You can find the full schedule here:

Way OT: Ice Fishing

Anyone on here own or regularly use a hard sided fish house trailer? I ice fish a lot , get up north 2-3 times a season if I’m lucky though, a lot of it has to do with paying for a motel which adds dollars to the trek and keeps me off the ice for night bites. Perks of my job is I get to do some personal projects and am throwing around the idea of building one. Either converting old camper or enclosed trailer to drop down. Wanting to know pros and cons of using one, my main goal would be treating it like a base camp to sleep in at night and retreat to for afternoon naps when bite slows.

Here are three of my biggest takeaways from a defense that is still looking to take more steps:
