- Won by 3.9 seconds, after taking the lead in the last 150 meters of the race
- Helped lead Purdue to the team title
- Collects his first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week accolade

Berlyn Schutz, Nebraska (FR)
- Won the Greeno/Dirksen Invite title on Sept. 16 at the Mahoney Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska, finishing the 5K course in a time of 17:10.6, 8 seconds faster than the next competitor
- Has opened her freshman season with two straight meet titles
- Secures her first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week award

- Helped the Spartans to their first victory of the season
- Named National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday
