Football Thinking Out Loud: EDGE Spring Preview

Let's think out loud about the Huskers' EDGE position. It's a group that has two players who we'd like to see step up and grab the opportunity, but there are other new faces who could make some noise, too.

Will the Tar Heels dance?

If they get in without a deep run in their tourney this system to me is a total joke. They are 1-9 in quad one games. Yet they have a NET of 49? All the while NU has 4 quad one wins and we sit at 92. They have no bad losses.... we have no bad losses. Two of our quad one wins are graded better then there only one. So this equates to 42 NET points better then us? I don't consider us a tourney team but as it stands right now it looks like if they win one ACC tourney game they're in easy.

Football Travis Vokolek reflects on Huskers' culture, lessons learned at Nebraska

Travis Vokolek gave his thoughts on last year's locker room culture and the lessons he learned from his time in Lincoln during last week's NFL Combine. Some pretty in-depth reflection from him here:

RIP Andre Smith

Andre was my favorite player during my freshman year at Nebraska. There was one play that to me described how Andre played. There was a break away by the opponent and Andre came from under his own basket and sprinted as fast as he could, he was trailing the player with the ball and no one thought there was anyway he was going to make a play. As he approached the top of the circle he dove head first like Superman to knock the ball out of the players hand and hit the floor about the free throw line and slid all the way under the basket. The crowd went nuts. No player has ever played harder than Andre Smith, at least that I was fortunate enough to watch in person.

Maravich NCAA scoring record in doubt

Had no idea this kid was this close to passing Pete. Will need to win a few conference tourney wins to do it.... Oh and a pandemic rule that gave him an extra year.... And a 3 point line but other than that still a lot of points... Blurb from his game today below

Titans' Antoine Davis had his seventh-straight 30-point game and pulled within 63 points of tying Peter Maravich's all-time NCAA Division I scoring record.
