Good on Nebraska for sending Josiah Allick and Rienk Mast, two transfers who will do well in that setting. Nice from Wilcher, too. He's expected to provide more scoring and leadership this season.

Our roster is weak, those last two needless years of Frost did nothing but harm our program. Wasted those two years and made the rebuild than much harder and longer. Never pays to keep a HC that has proven he can't get the job done, does nothing but diminishes the program. That stupid extension that kept him here for year 4 and 5 has directly resulted in the poor talent level of the current roster. I don't blame Frost as much as I do the idiots that kept him around when it was painfully obvious that he was incapable of getting the job done.

There are seven notable changes to this week's depth chart against Illinois from the previous week against Michigan. Among them:

>> Heinrich Haarberg and Jeff Sims are still listed as co-starters, but Haarberg is now listed first.

>> Josh Fleeks is now the No. 2 running back behind starter Anthony Grant after Fleeks was previously listed as the No. 2 slot receiver.

>> Phalen Sanford is the team's other starting safety now, opposite Omar Brown.

>> D'Andre Barnes is listed as the No. 2 rover behind Isaac Gifford.

When the Commanders have the ball the only white guy on the field for either team is their QB.

Just saw that it might happen again. What are your thoughts on allowing women to play in a Men's PGA Tour event?

My thoughts: I'm ok with it if they have to play from the men's tees, and no men are left out of the event and replaced by a woman. For example, in a regular event that includes a field of 132, 144, or 156 (most commom entry sizes) as long as 132, 144 or 156 men still qualify and they want to add a woman or a few to make it a field of 135, 145, 160, etc. then I think it would be actually interesting to see how they do.

Golf is one sport that if you take long distance out of the equation I think women can compete very well. From 120 yards in I think it would be pretty competitive. This is why playing from men's tees would be a must. Distance is part of the game. You wanna compete with the men, start from where they start. What say you?

Anyone on here know if Warren has made any donations to the university (large ones) ? The stadium expansion would seem a good time , wouldn't it ? Just curious .

It use to bother me when we lost, yet another close game and Scott Frost would say how much he feels bad for the players. What that always told me was Frost was letting the players off the hook and never held them accountable. That's just me, because I came from a time if you lost a game, your coach was not nice the next practice. You knew it was going to be a tough one.

Rhule had the team go full pads Sunday, the day after the MU loss. I'm sure the players didn't like that but it sent a valuable message. Sometimes, as a coach, you can't be their buddies. The players can and should be able to take a bit of criticism and if they cannot, then they better always win and never make mistakes.

I for one liked the urgency and the demand to be better. Good coaching in my opinion and more of that is merited.

He was willing to make a change at QB so he deserves credit for that. Some would argue that he should have made the change last week vs Colorado. However, I will give Rhule the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he chalked up Sims performance against Minnesota as first game jitters and was willing to give him another chance to redeem himself vs Colorado. When Sims didn't meet expectations, he made the decision to start a different QB, so I think he deserves credit for that.

Honestly looking at these schedules spark a question...what do you think the OOC strategy should be going forward?

For me I question why ever schedule a tough OOC? Obviously you don't want to go all D2 but maybe 1 P5 and a medium-light one at that?

You're probably going to get at least 2 Top 10 teams in conference. The odds of not having any big games at home is almost none.

Let's do it like the SEC. Play warm up games until the conference schedule hits. I'm more and more a fan of that with a 9 game slate.

We’re never gonna compete within the Big 10 when it comes to money, and we saw the difference on the field today. It was the primary reason. There may have been other reasons, but they pay their athletes A LOT better. Money Buys Athletes. Prove otherwise.

We don’t have the wealthy donors like Michigan and we’ll never have Texas Money, unless everyone from the bottom up pays.
