Volleyball No. 2 Nebraska tops Michigan State to move to 14-0

Updated story from tonight's four-set win over Michigan State. Ugly game, but the Huskers extends their winning streak to 14 games. Hit the link.

I won't stop about the hold they missed on Illinois TD

That was absolutely blatant there were two officials back there looking right at it and neither saw it? If you go back not sure who our guy was but the end at the top of the screen set wide did an inside move their tackle got beat and you can see his big arm stretched out all the way across our guy's chest. It is a blatant hold 2 yards right in front of the QB and two guys cannot see it?

Volleyball FINAL: No. 2 Nebraska 3, Michigan State 1 (25-23, 16-25, 25-15, 25-11)

Nebraska events are loaded tonight as football is taking on the Illini at 7, but we got some volleyball between the No. 2 Huskers (13-0, 4-0 B1G) and Michigan State (11-4, 3-1 B1G) for an hour before kickoff.

First serve is set for 6 p.m. on Big Ten Plus.

Nebraska is on the road for the second straight weekend as the Huskers were pushed to the brink last week in back-to-back wins versus No. 17 Purdue and Indiana. Competition should be a little less stiff this weekend, but the Spartans are meshing well under second-year head coach Leah Johnson. She came over from Illinois State last season and took her lumps with a 4-16 mark in conference, but after returning the third-most in the Big Ten, the Spartans sit fourth in the conference.

Freshman Taylah Holdem has been not only one of the best freshman, but one of the best players in the Big Ten so far this season. The Spartans also have veteran Nalani Iosia who’s been one of the better liberos in the conference. Here is the weekend preview for a deeper dive on MSU and Michigan who NU faces tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

Plus, we got to hear from head coach John Cook in his weekly presser as he recapped last weekend and how he’s preparing Nebraska for an emotional match at Michigan.

Harper Murray declined to speak with the media ahead of her hometown return on Saturday, but we got hear from freshman setter Bergen Reilly and Maggie Mendelson before they flew off to Michigan. Here is this week’s Players’ Corner:

Football Big Ten unveils future Husker conference opponents for next five years

The Big Ten announced each member's conference slate for the next five seasons. Here's the breakdown for Nebraska:

Being 3-3 Going Into the Bye

Would be heaven!

With the next two games against Northwestern and Purdue at home, then going to East Lansing with a reeling MSU

We could be 6-3(you know bowl eligible) before the first snow fall!

anything else after that would be icing on the cake.

Sunshine pumping I know, but let’s remember that the BIG West is a proverbial dumpster fire. A tallest midget contest if you will.
