internet hotspot...

what is an internet hotspot? my son wanted/needed me to sign a form about a hotspot, and i told him I don't just sign things when i don't know what they are. he said, "dad, just sign it, it is no big deal." i said, "dude, i don't just sign things when i don't know what they are."

does a hotspot mess with my internet? like, can it take control of my internet? i don't want more people being able to take control of my internet, it's already bad enough.

i have not signed the form, i told him i need to research first.

DR has to be coming to NU. I don't see any way this doesn't happen. Most on here feel the same but I still read others who think maybe not or have doubts. Here's my thoughts on why he will be commiting to DONU. Maybe obvious but...

A) The Raiola's have too much love and respect for NU to just come to Lincoln at this point and not commit. What is there to gain by visiting at this time if you aren't committing. They've seen everything multiple times.
B) It would damage all ties with the Raiola's to the university by "playing us" to possibly get a better deal at Georgia. They aren't like that. Dom would be run out of town if they ever tried to come back.
C) Our Oline coach would need 24/7 police protection
D) Kaelin knows.
E) Too many futurecasts, crystal balls, insider info, etc. for this not to be a done deal.
F) Finally, the curse of huskers past has gone on long enough. We don't want this, We need this.

Wide Receivers If

First let me say I was at 75% convinced that DR was coming here until Kaelin started taking additional visits. Now I am at 90%. That needle won't move until we have a signed document from DR.

Now the question to all of you -- does DR pull in a couple of WR's and if so who?

Second question will the WR's from Bellevue West stick to their with DONU?

LOL Told you guys 2 weeks ago

That it’s absolutely OVER until we can get an ELITE staff of coaches and RECRUITERS. And this one isn’t it. If we keep these clown offensive coaches and do not pull a Callahan type top 5 class, then this is the future of this program. Accept it and move on to other things in life or keep letting it drive you insane. It is what it is.

Number of members logged in

Years ago, this Husker board used to show the number of members logged in at any given moment. I think it also showed a list of members logged in. Is there a place I am missing where that information lives or is it just not shown anymore? I always found the number to be interesting. Even at 3 in the morning there would be a significant number logged in.

There were times when we were awaiting a big announcement about a coach, commitment or other event when that number exceeded 20,000 or so.

Raiola, etc.....chain reaction.

So let's say DR commits and it starts a chain reaction of studs coming here (one can dream of miracles, right).....

How will NU handle current lesser ranked commits, recruits, etc? We have 25 committed now.

Current rostered players?

Do we say thanks but no thanks to committed kids? Is it NIL money instead of a scholarships?

Not judging whether we should or shouldn't process recruits out(we probably have to) but how does it all work?

Crazy times with NIL but this is the world we live in, right?

Re: McCord Transfer from the Cleveland Newspaper

Not new news by now but FWIW here's a brief excerpt from the Cleveland paper:

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State defensive end Jack Sawyer developed a lifetime friendship with Kyle McCord that will continue regardless of the quarterback’s decision to enter the transfer portal.

As someone close to McCord, Sawyer said he also saw the reaction the former Buckeye starter endured after less impressive games or especially after the loss at Michigan.

“I really felt bad for him how he was treated after those games, and I don’t think it was fair,” Sawyer said “I think I understand that, at Ohio State, the quarterback’s expected to win games. I don’t think at all it’s his fault that we lost that game at Ann Arbor.
