OT. Anyone fight with spouse about money?

I can understand not getting married, but in my case I found a woman 12 years younger than me who only adds to my life. She has a good job, never refuses me sex, takes great care of me, pays more than her share of the bills, doesn't create drama and my family loves her.
So how's that marriage going?

Like I said, I don't take advice from renters.
IF I were a single guy I might rent unless I still had a farm with a house on it. Historically there are better investment vehicles than home ownership and the associated costs of ownership have gone through the roof. The downside to renting is the huge inflation we’ve just seen.

Renting is cheaper than buying right now which is petty crazy. We’ll buy our dream home when it makes sense, but for now we are sticking our extra money in high yielding t bills and bank accounts

Must be in the mood for another hip replacement
Man I need one redone and the other done for the first time. The right knee and ankle are shit too though so I guess I’ll just keep limpin along. I keep thinking I’ll die before I can’t walk anymore and have to get ‘em done

My knees are starting to get to me.. sucks getting old but beats the alternative

I think you two would have a lot more common ground about other things in person. I think he’s just enjoying pimping us old men right now.
I’m just fvcking around with the guy.. hope he isn’t taking me seriously

You too. Sorry we kinda ruined a thread. Better tomorrow Tampa.
OK. Hug it out you Mo's!! RollingLaugh

That's fine, I'll have my son stand in for me since Tampa is so worried about my age.

My son is about his age and that's where the comparison ends.
I sometimes wonder what I could do if need be to defend myself in a tight situation when we travel. What I lacked in size I made up for with rage and quick hands as a kid. I could still muster the rage but I’m not sure my arthritic hands would deal like they used to. I’ve got a couple of funny stories about my boys and fights in their youth. 😊

You can do heel-palm. Knife hand strikes. Ridge-hands. And of course, always use your elbows when in tight.

A real good one for an older dude is the sidekick to the knee.

The never fail is the Pearl Harbor attack. Ask the dude, "where do I know you from" In that instant when they will stop and think, ****ing smoke them with your fist and then take off.

A warrior uses all weapons at his disposal. Whatever it takes.

I really do think people (men) forget why there was not as much divorce back in the day.

It had nothing to do with religion or society. It had to do with the fact that women were stuck, 100% stuck. So they did what anyone does when they are stuck...they "deal" with it and wait it out.
Eh, I'm sure religion and society had more in keeping married couples wanting to be together than "nothing".

I'm sure you're right that back-in-the-day, people were "stuck" & they just dealt with it. Though I'm sure there were countless times where they worked harder at making their marriage better (no other choice, right?) & it ended up being a happy marriage for many years.
