Matt Rhule Is A Net Negative

I will say they are beatable but won’t be by Nebraska. The Husker players are mentally weak and can’t handle adversity OR success. They simply can’t get out of their own way. The huskers wont beat Wisconsin or Iowa.
we have little margin for error and a coaching staff that couldn't out think a powderpuff team

doesn't bode well

DR is playing on Sundays. If he’s at OSU or Georgia he’d be leading them to the NC. We’ll never get the talent you need to show off a top tier talent like him. We run in sand so he has to be perfect. Ain’t gonna happen at Neb. Not even close.
If he's at OSU or Georgia, he would be third string for the next couple of years.

I had a lot of respect for Trev Alberts but his hiring of Matt Rhule is now looking like a real head scratcher. Action speaks louder than words. Very frustrating results and I don’t see progress with Rhule at the helm.
personally, the way it all went down, I think Trev was leaning toward MJ and Ted Carter put the kabosh on that and brought in Rhule.. Trev had to go along with this.. Then TC left, and Trev left.. certainly not a good look.

Not impressed with Ruhle,. Smooth talking version of what we had. Results, clock management, player development (linebackers and receivers are dogshit) and the postgame comments are enough for me. If this ends 5-7 the whole staff deserves to be fired. He won’t be but should be.

MJ is getting payed 325k at Grambling State, NU could pay him 5 million with a heavily incentivized contract.

MJ was going to most likely get a performance based contract.. there certainly would not be this massive financial overhang.. more like a base 3 million contract with lots of incentives based on results.

Instead, TC decided to shoot his wad with a very highly paid coach that he knew from his time back east.

I'd quit shitting on the team if the team would quit shitting themselves at every oppotunity, its a fuggin train wreck.
Yeah I don't understand this team. USC beat us by running the ball. I expected our guys to lose some battles against their wideouts. But when the game was on the line our defense couldn't stop the run at all. We also need too practice some tip drills. Have we actually caught anything tipped the entire season? I know some teams have used tenis balls and even those large super balls to improve coordination and grabbing the ball out of the air. We just can't catch anything.

DR has shown absolutely nothing this year that he's a QB capable of playing on Sundays. He's a freshman qb, so I didn't really have high expectations anyway. But this level of kowtowing to an 18 year old kid who hasn't proven jack shit yet, and that's been from the head coach on down to the lowest part of the fan base, it's a really bad look for a supposed blue blood program.
DR is just not that good plays scared

Rhule brings nothing to the table for 8 million dollars.
He doesnt coach
He doesnt do xs and os.
He cant manage games.
He cant fix issues and has to bring in outside eyes and trust them to fix the issues over halfway through the season!
Why is he here? What does he do?
He is the CEO. He recruits. He decides who the coordinators will be. The coordinators need an overhaul. It is starting

Matt Rhule is the Kliff Kingsbury of college football. Starts out undefeated or one loss in the first half and then can't win a game the second half. It's not a fluke or bad luck, they just can't win in the clutch. Next year is just going to be the same thing. You can try and hope it won't but past history says it will be.

Literally pay him to keep his short fat ugly bitch ass on the bus going forward

Dana HC

Didnt you post before the season or close to it something along the lines that freshmen QBs average like 5 or 6 wins?

I think it was you, but can't remember for sure. Crazy how that's holding up.

Tom didn’t take over a dumpster fire. There’s zero comparison between the two situations. Tom was one of the greatest head coaches of all time and hiring another guy that good is extremely unlikely.
Tom had it easy... the conference was filled with cupcakes until we played OU. There were basically 1-2 games a year that were even difficult.

Tom was idolized for appearing to run a clean program.. which was far from the truth.. heck even Barry Switzer thought he would have won more championships had he been coaching the Huskers. And everyone has forgotten how many years and years we would go to a bowl game, only to get our teeth kicked in.

Tom was just the biggest midget in the Big 8 after Barry retired.

Do tell🙄

Lol man you better go back and relive those seasons.
Yeah people see our close losses and record and think it’s the same but it’s not. We couldn’t catch punts or kickoffs, we fumbled it felt like every 10 plays. We couldn’t snap the ball, the qb was chasing snaps all over the field. Our defense was pourous as all get out.. I’m frustrated that we’re still not winning games, but we don’t look like a circus like we did under frost and Riley.
