Final regular season game, rubber match at Penn State, wearing home whites and navy blue hats. First pitch slated for 10am CDT.

Meyers riding an unofficial 4-game HBP streak at the plate when he both pitches and bats. (did not bat last Sunday)

Leadoff walk for Meyers, HBP for Altavilla, walk for Schreiber loads the bases.

Meyers' stitches were removed after Thursday's game.

I think everyone knows what's at stake today. Time to take care of business.

Starting lineup, same lineup that ended the game yesterday, but with Alvarado in CF and Meyers on the hill...

Penn State's last three conference game 3's:
29 Apr: Loss at Iowa, 9-1
07 May: Loss vs. Minnesota, 12-4
14 May: Loss at Indiana, 10-2

Overcast day, many umbrellas in the stands. Note: If the game is not official due to inclement weather cancellation, Nebraska would finish 15-7-1 (.673) ahead of Michigan even if Michigan wins (16-8, .667) and Minnesota (15-8, .652).

Sacks full with nobody out in the first. PSU starter can't find the plate. Chance to jump on him early.

Wow, what a disastrous start for Penn State. Wild pitch scores Meyers. 1-0 Huskers, no outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Three runs in and still nobody out. Keep it up, fellas.

Ooh, Wilkening beaned in the head. Looks okay, gonna stay in the game.

Then Schleppenbach plunked. 3 HBP, 2 walks, and a double by the starter, gets the hook after 0.2 IP.

What's the NCAA record for most HBPs in one game?

It's like that episode of Brockmire where all the fat guys got plunked!

RBI single for Hagge, advances to 2nd on the throw. 5-0 Huskers, 2 outs in T1, runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Put up a 10-spot early, and hopefully the Wolverines are scoreboard watching. That will take a little air out of their sails.

losing Friday was pretty awful but being able to win the conference on the last day of the regular will be a pretty satisfying trip home...will they go home or head to Indiana?

Meyers might be too tired from running the bases to be at his best on the mound. This is his second lap!

Ground-rule double to right-center for Altavilla scores 2. Would have been a triple had that not cleared the wall.

7-0 Huskers. Still T1.

I heard Eichorst is on the way to make sure they get nothing that they want. Start blaming him now!

After 4 pitches, Meyers already has as many strikes as PSU's starter had when he loaded the bases to start the game (4).

What is the crayton score?

Bottom 1: 1-2-3 for Meyers
L3
P1
K in the dirt, Wilkening tags the batter

Honestly, getting quick outs in the first was critical. If PSU gets anything going and scores even one, they would feel like they were still in it. Instead, they have to trudge back out on defense..

The macarena? How much worse can this game get for PSU? Is that their rally song?

Roskam single to left-center. Miller had to hold up to make sure it wasn't caught.

Bases loaded for Wilkening, 0 outs.

Great start for Jake and the boys.

This is great even can watch the action on the IPad.:)

Great start for the Huskers! Too bad I'm away from home. Up here in Plano. Listening to the game on the Huskers IMG Network over TunedIn.

Wilkening HBP for the 2nd time today, Miller scores on the play.

8-0 Huskers, 0 outs, bases loaded for Schleppenbach.
