Schreiber is hitting .600 against Big Ten pitching entering today's game.

I think this is the first time we've heard Mike Kirby interviewed on the radio this season. Enjoyable to listen to, very affable.

He said this year's Ben Miller "have to make a decision on whether to send them" guys are Roskam and Wilkening. "Not exactly burning up the base paths."

11:03am CDT: "We may not have baseball today." - Greg Sharpe
"Real feel" temperature has dropped below 28F.
Head coaches are meeting.
2 of the 4 umpires have made their way to the field.

Umpires are prepping for the game to commence, Alvarado is warming in the Nebraska bullpen.

Ethan Landon matching Scott Schreiber in not wearing long sleeves today.

Kirby bundled up in the 3rd base coach's box, Tezak taking the brunt of the wind in the 1st base coach's box and is wearing multiple layers.

3 runs in T5 pulls our boys within 1!!

5-4 Sparty M5

Mike Waldron relieves Alvarado (4.0 IP, 88 pitches)

So the mark of a big-time program is whether or not they make public address announcements to return foul balls to the concessions stand for a treat, right? I've heard college softball do this because of the cost of the balls, but rarely in college baseball.

Anyway, heard that announcement by MSU in B6.

T7
Wilkening reaches on an error, then three K's sit down the Big Red

6-4 Sparty M7

Back-to-back singles followed by a 2-RBI double open the inning to stretch MSU's lead to 8-4.

Byron Hood to relieve Mike Waldron.

Walk, then 2 more runs score on a throwing error.

10-4 Sparty, still 0 out B7

What a shit show.

Meh. This will just turn into “you have to respect the game” “we have to do better getting them ready to play” talk from Erstad. Same song, different verse.

Leadoff walk squandered. Two Ks and L8.

15-4 MSU, M8.

Hellstrom to enter at C.

Handley and Sharpe have had a case of the giggles the last couple innings regarding Handley's sandwich.

Mother of god, another error throwing to 1st scores another. This one an E4

17-4 MSU, 1 out B8

Back to back hits put Hellstrom and Roskam in scoring position, 0 out T9.

Back-to-back K's keep Hellstrom and Roskam in scoring position, 2 out T9, 17-5 MSU.
