Recruiting Nebraska in top seven for four-star TE

2026 Littleton (Col.) Heritage four-star tight end Camden Jensen announced his top seven schools and Nebraska remains in the mix, alongside North Carolina, Missouri, Florida, Texas A&M, Washington, and UCLA. Home state Colorado notably missing…

Huskers still in the mix but it’s been a while since they’ve had him on campus. He tells me he wants to get back for an OV later this offseason and the ground Nebraska has to make up to get back to the top isn’t insurmountable.

Basketball With No. 18 Illinois in town, it's time for Nebraska to show fight

"We've had a lot of very long, real discussions with our group these last couple days, and I hope it carries over," Fred Hoiberg said Wednesday. "We can't have a here-we-go-again mentality. And I've seen that when the ball isn't going in the basket, when teams are hitting shots — whatever they are, semi-contested, contested. Heads drop, and we just are not worth a damn when that happens."

Some open and honest talk from Hoiberg and Andrew Morgan today as the team gets ready to play No. 18 Illinois on Thursday night.

Recruiting Nebraska goes in-home with No. 8 CB

Nebraska offered 2026 Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star CB Blake Stewart earlier this month. Tonight, DC Joun Butler and defensive backs coach Addison Williams made an in-home visit with the four-star, who ranks as a top-100 prospect and the No. 8 cornerback in the country.

Williams has been aggressively making runs at top defensive backs nationally since joining the program (more on that soon)

Recruiting Early look at notable visitors expected at Nebraska's Junior Day this weekend

Nebraska is hosting their first major recruiting event for the class of 2026 with an elite junior day planned for Feb. 1. Double-digit prospects have already confirmed plans to attend with me, here's a rundown of notable names expected this weekend, with some updates expected through the week as the staff continues to see targets and new offers on the road.

Nebraska's quarterback commit will be back in town peer recruiting

As we broke last week, Nebraska was scheduled to get the four-star Miami commit on an official visit later this year. After Matt Rhule and John Butler stopped through his HS last week, Campbell is now scheduled to make his first Nebraska visit this weekend.

The four-star OT last visited Nebraska for the win over Wisconsin and is near the top of Donovan Raiola's board, getting him back on campus is a big, big deal

The talented teammates out of Florida are set for their first Nebraska visit as we broke a few weeks ago. The Huskers are recruiting both on the defensive side of the ball, looking to flip Jackson away from the Gators

The fast-rising offensive tackle has growing interest from SEC and Big Ten powers, but a weekend visit to Nebraska in November has stuck with him and he's excited to return to Lincoln

Two top regional linebacker targets will be back in town after multiple Nebraska visits in 2024, if you're looking for a potential commitment this weekend, it could be either of these two.

Currently a tentative visit until he tells me otherwise, Mosley was a recent offer by Jamar Mozee and Daikiel Shorts and the Huskers face competition from programs like Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, Clemson, LSU and many more.

I'd expect a few more wide receivers and defensive backs added to the list, we could see a running back or two added, potentially more offensive linemen, could see 1-2 defensive linemen added as well. I would also expect some 2027 regional targets as well. There's a few names I'm reconnecting with this week that are considering a visit but hoping to finalize plans in the coming days. We could see local three-star tight end target Isaac Jensen make the short trip down, he's not planned any visits because he's focused on basketball season, but if the timing works out, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sneak into town on Saturday.

Football Troy Dannen announces spring game date but says don't expect a "true game"

April 26 is the date of this year's spring game. But Dannen says Nebraska is not expecting it to be a "true game."

I'll get this out of the way...

*Inserts joke about how the spring game isn't a real game, anyway*

Honest Podcast about Nebrasketball - Good Listen

A good friend of mine Jacob Bigelow who you've probably seen on twitter before dropped a new podcast episode about the state of this season for us. I thought it was a good listen as I drove to work so figured I'd share: Login to view embedded media
This 6 game slide that we're on, to me comes down to roster construction, lack of guard play (offensively+defensively), and Berke being way more of a downgrade from Mast/DWalker in the "playmaking big role" than we thought he'd be. Mix all of that with the locker room issues and lack of urgency/intensity and there ya go.
