Football Piper: Huskers beating heat because "you beat Minnesota" on days like today

It's hot. Nebraska is still practicing hard. Ethan Piper on beating the heat and trying to beat Minnesota:

"If we can practice hard for 40 plays straight in the heat right now, when it comes to any game down the line there’s no doubt in my mind that we can play 80 plays straight and be fine. ... You just gotta go and have the mentality that you beat Minnesota today.”

Alberts (& Osborne) at Big Red Brunch - Aug. 24

Alberts on Nebraska ticket prices: “Nebraska has the fifth-most expensive ticket in college football when all licenses or donations are taken into account…and that’s not right…especially when you’re 3-9.”

I hope people are noticing what Alberts is actually saying. This shouldn’t come as a surprise that we had really lazy, absolute myopic administration that was damn near running this program slowly into the ground.

I know most of us fans don’t like what’s happening in college football, but what else is he supposed to do? I’m grateful Alberts is fighting and competing for my alma mater, and not idly standing by and letting the ‘N’ die - because that’s what was happening.

Reactions: The Bearded One

Texas high school football kicks off this weekend.

Temps will be an unbearable 98 at kickoff this Friday evening when I visit Freedom Field in Iowa Colony, Texas to watch Manvel take on Braylon Prude and the Shadow Creek Sharks.

Looking forward to watching the game, my seats face the east and the press box will provide the necessary cover from the big orange ball in the sky.

Technical Help, Please: How to receive Husker games ANYWHERE...

My elder cousin lives in Ben Atchley Veteran's Home in Knoxville, TN. PLEASE!!! Can anyone on here give me detailed instructions on how he might be able to view Husker games LIVE? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

(He says the home doesn't offer 'certain' necessary amenities that would allow 'BIG 10 to Go'...(whether the array of available networks, etc, or what.) I just can't imagine missing a game in this day and age. Thanks!!
