Taking a good stroll through Minneapolis before the game

Thought I’d go out and walk around before we get busy this afternoon. Took some pics to show everyone.

First off, I wanted to get a coffee. So I found a really cool place called Bordertown Coffee. You’d walk right by the place if you didn’t know it was there. It’s tucked inside what looks to me like a really old building. But once you’re inside, it’s very cool. Excellent vibe.

Name One Player

That you were really excited to see come to NU and nothing ever came off it on the field. I'll go first. JR Edwards (mid-late 90's) had NFL talent coming out of Lincoln Southeast. Failing drug tests and getting in trouble was his downfall. Believe he finished his career as a WR3 at UNK. Mo Washington is another one that could have been great. If his head is on straight Frost may have made a bowl game at least once.

Really interested to hear some of you older guys (no offense!) takes on guys from the 70's and 80's

Recruiting The latest on 4-star OT Grant Brix

For those keeping track at home (everyone) this last weekend was supposed to be when Grant Brix announced his commitment. He'd stated previously that he wanted to make an announcement before the season started. His season started on Friday night and no announcement came this weekend.

Brix let me know that he needs more time to think about his decision.

His final choices are Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas State and Alabama. The leading theory right now is that this is a Nebraska versus Oklahoma battle. Sources have indicated to me that the Alabama offer is very committable but Brix and his family would prefer he stay in the Midwest. Brix has built a strong relationship with Donovan Raiola and Matt Rhule so the Huskers are hoping that carries them over the edge.

Brix is the clear number one target remaining and the staff is working hard to close the deal. He just needs more time.
