How can our best play be the QB run?

What happens when Jeff Sims goes down which is going to happen? Then what?
Why have we not recruited at least 1 big strong running back with break- away speed to put games away in the 4th that we always use to have in the 80's and 90's.
And how can we lose to the Row the Boat idiot every year? Just depressing to watch our Football team lose to these Big 10 teams that are not very good!!!!
Excluding Ohio State and Michigan of course. They are good every year.

Volleyball Nebraska stays at No. 4 in AVCA Poll

The Nebraska volleyball team stayed at No. 4 in the latest AVCA poll released on Monday. The Huskers face No. 16 Creighton on Wednesday at home who jumped up from No. 20.

Huskers also received one first-place vote. Florida made the huge jump this week as they went to No. 8 to No. 3. NU also hosts Long Beach State on Saturday who’s coached by former assistant Tyler Hildebrand. The Beach beat No. 1 Texas earlier this season.

4 Sep Press Conference

Hard to believe none of the press had the courage to ask anything other than softball questions today Namely:

How short a leash is Sims on this week? Or, how many interceptions will it take before you would consider making a change? Or, after the QB play last week, has there been more emphasis this week on getting Haarberg and Purdy ready? Do you think a QB with a proven history of throwing interceptions can be coached up so it doesn't happen? You said when asked about Sims' interception history you couldn't believe he had a history of that because he didn't throw any in spring, do you not look at how much a QB turns the ball over when looking at getting him from the portal?

You mentioned if you can't take care of the football you can't play for us. What is the threshold of interceptions and fumbles before a player can't play for us?

The Panthers were notorious for turnovers, like they had 18 by mid-December 2021. Is there something in your coaching scheme that makes avoiding turnovers difficult?

Do you think your comments about Grant fumbling in the scrimmage may have encouraged Minnesota to try to strip the ball from him?

Why was Ervin the starter, but didn't start and Grant had two more carries even though Ervin had a significantly YPC than Grant? Do you do player analytics during the game? Do you ever make personnel recommendations, or is that entirely up to your assistants?

Are there ANY means applied to make players accountable for false starts?

Who was responsible for calling three consecutive pass plays the next series after NU ran the ball 9 out of 12 plays for an 80 yard drive. Was that you, Coach Satterfield, someone in the booth, a computer??? Any regrets about that decision?

Will you consider giving Gottula a shot at starting LT to get better pass protection?

What exactly is Nebraska's offensive identity?

Dumb idea? Tell me I’m wrong…

I went back and watched the Minn game focusing on the Oline. Our left side is way below average as we all know. Cochran has very poor lateral movement and balance and Piper is athletic with good feet but seems outmatched in the strength department.

Here is my crazy thought: Switch them…make Piper the OT and Cochran the OG.

It seems to play to both of their strengths better. I’m convinced the results would be better…..still not great….but better.
