to get through the season, I'm fine with it. Would love to be balanced, but skill set and injury says otherwise. No O coordinator we've had recently has ever truly tailored the playbook to the players we have, though all CFB coordinators say they do. We'll see.

At least a few option plays throughout the game. The speed option would have worked.
We should have ran the speed option or pitch out on the play Grant fumbled. With a different running back in the game.

we did run option

short side, reverse pivot from under center

Sims bellied it back so badly the announcers didn't even know what to call it

ran a lot of read option from the pistol, too. was probably our best play.

This should be our offense. Just run a ton of option and RPO. No dropbacks whatsoever
We have some people on this board who think that the option is the bane of the devil, an offense that they would be embarrassed to run. There's no convincing these people, as they were the ones who supported getting rid of Solich and ushering in the shit show we have had since.

That being said, it's pretty obvious that Sims in the pocket is not his strong suit, neither is running inside the tackles our strong suit. Rolling Sims out most of the time and a running game on the edge (OMG maybe some option) is the way to go for this team and this talent set.
