Next Nebraska Game - Tuesday, November 14
Alcorn State at Nebraska (7:00 PM - BTN+)

3 -16

3-16 in games that are decided by one score in the last 3 years. We lead the nation badly in turnovers. I think last year as well. Who's fault ? Satterfield ! Rhule ! HH ! , Sims !...Officials ! Run it !....fumble...Pass it !....INT. Plenty of blame for everyone.

I hope Trev Alberts does the following

1. Offers Tony White a 2 millon dollar contract for 3 years.

2. Take the 450 millon dollars for stadium expansion and use most of the money for NIL. Nebraska should never lose a player or a coach because of money.

3 Start selling beer at the games

4. Schedule a game with Colorado every year. I love to hate them and it keeps a great rival game going.

Can't Sleep, still pissed at that play call

Ninety thousand fans would have handed the ball off and kicked a field goal and taken a three point win. But some a-- -- playing genius throws us a third unnecessary lose. That brings into question why are the QBS not improving? Balls flying over receivers head suggest that the release point of the ball is up. That is a fundamental flaw in coaching. Five interceptions in one game that is as many as some coaches have in a lifetime.

2023 NU vs Turtles - Drive by Drive

2023 Nebraska vs the Turtles Game Recap

I don’t have time or the want to break this down clip by clip, so I just did drive by drive. Enjoy the misery.

1st Half by the calls. 33 plays 4 drives. 13 of the 33 plays were called pass plays. That doesn’t take into account the RPOs, 3 of them that were thrown. So 16 of 33 plays ended up being passes. In terms of run game, they relied heavily on Split Zone and Duo. In terms of the pass game, They ran Frisco (Slot Fade) 3 times and 4 verts twice. They did have a nice completion on what looked to be a Y-Cross and even ran a Dagger concept. Satterfield has a propensity to call shot plays after big first down runs, penalties, and the first play of the game, especially in the green zone.

Second half by the calls - 28 Plays on 6 drives. 8 of those were passes. One was an RPO where Sims kept and fumbled. Pretty sure the 4th down call where Sims was stopped was going to be thrown based on the split zone TEs path and action, but nonetheless, still hung their hat on Split Zone and Duo.

There were times the run game looked pretty solid, and then at times, they broke down and allowed run throughs, anytime the run was stuffed, that was the likely culprit, especially the right side of the OL.

Individual Players - Stock Up/Down

UP

Ty Robinson - has been a beast this year. Nash was getting a lot of love, but TRob is getting doubled almost every play in this scheme while 2 gapping and still dominating.

Omar Brown - reminds me of Dejon Gomes. Just an absolute playmaker. Love watching him ball

Jimari Butler - the most improved player on the roster this year in my opinion

Javin Wright - someone call EA Sports... Awareness of 99 for next year's NCAA Football video game. The INT and Forced Fumble were incredible heads up plays

Emmett Johnson - looks like we have our RB the next few years

DOWN

Malcom Hartzog - made Jeshaun look like Julio Jones yesterday

Nick Henrich - lateral movement still hinders him, I personally think his role should be limited to power running teams, Iowa type slugfests

Luke Reimer - reverted to the diving tackles from a couple years ago, missed a couple big ones

Anthony Grant - does not seem to have the vision or explosiveness that Johnson possesses

QB's - I don't know how it manages to get worse every week. I guess we try Purdy for Wisconsin?
