Sort of a busy day with being on the road for the Wisconsin game. I’ll do my best to keep up with the basketball game.

This game is going to tell us a lot about this coaching staff…

Been thinking about this a bit, and I can’t shake the notion that these last two 2 games are going to be very telling with regards to our coaching staff. So take note. Last week’s loss was very disappointing, you felt it in your gut, you saw it in the eyes of anyone and everyone who cares about this program and university. So… how do you respond to adversity and morale crushing disappointment? And it may not be quantified by whether we win or lose, but how they play. And if they play their guts out, and still lose, how do they respond to that?

I think these two games will be key indicators of what we can expect from this staff going forward, JMO. I obviously hope they’re able to keep the kids motivated and believing. And if that’s obvious and apparent it will give me a lot more faith these guys (or at least most of them) have what it takes to turn this shit around. That’s all, just some thoughts on Friday night before a big game. Have at it and gbr!

Football Garret McGuire reveals what went wrong at WR on final play vs Maryland

Story from McGuire's Thursday night interview on Huskers Radio Network:

Matt Ruhle opinions

Got to talking with a friend who knows the college football world. He claimed Matt Ruhle to be "milktoast". Didnt feel he was charasmatic enough and cited offensive dud everywhere he has coached.
I dont necessarily agree and feel like we cant judge until after next year when he has a qb worth a salt. Maybe im wrong but i like MR and find him charasmatic.
So how does this board feel about him almost 12 months in? He crushed the offseason but has lost winnable games in season. Im torn, know he isnt going anywhere but that thread got me thinking about how he has done this far.

relax

It's frustrating to drop two winnable games on a row. 100% understand that. I personally didn't think this team would win more than 4 or 5 games.

This is already the best Matt Rhule has done in his first year at a program, and he did it with shit at QB. Sims was a miss, but let's not pretend coming to Nebraska after the dumpster fire we've been the past 7 years is an easy sell.

There is promise on the defense, our shitty offense is down to 3rd & 4th string at multiple positions. The fact we won games that would be surefire losses last year is already progress.

We will never see an offense this bad under Rhule again, the ship will be righted.
