Trev and Harbaugh have a bit of a history

from 1997 - summary - Harbaugh is a dick

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indianapolis quarterback Jim Harbaugh is upset about Colts linebacker Trev Alberts’ seemingly never-ending injuries.

``There’s something screwed up,″ Harbaugh said Friday. ``You get tired of looking at the same guys on the sidelines and collecting paychecks. Something is obviously wrong.″

``I’m saying it exactly how it is,″ Harbaugh said. ``At some point we’ve got to find the guys that want to play. Those are the guys who are going to be there on Sundays.″

Alberts missed seven games during the regular season and the team’s playoff game due to injury last year. He passed a physical before reporting to the team’s rookie-free agent camp. He then apparently aggravated the old injury during one of the two contact workouts in which he participated.

``Is it a case of throwing good money after bad?″ Harbaugh asked. ``Or is it a case of someone that says all the right things, but isn’t there on Sundays?″

``Trev told me what his position is ... there’s something wrong there,″ Harbaugh said. ``He said he didn’t want to play, and that he begged not to play, and that they were going to make him come back because of the signing bonus.″

Volleyball Nebraska battles through Sunday afternoon slog to get past Northwestern

You could label Nebraska's performance with plenty of words after what you saw on Sunday.

But it's a win nonetheless. A win that ended on a somber note. Click below to find out more from a five-set thriller in Evanston.

How bad was this team under Frost?

Despite the loss to Illinois, there is a marked improvement in many areas. A bad team yes, but not as bad.

This team lost to a NW team that is almost certain to go 1-11. Their last four games are against OSU, Minn, Purdue, and Illinois. The best shot is against Minn but it's a long shot.

Considering Frost's first 3 games, and really four since Oklahoma was with his DC and too soon for MJ to have any effect, the team that started the season could well have been 131 out of 131 in FBS. NW is currently ranked 122 on this poll (https://www.versussportssimulator.com/FBS/rankings).

There can really be no doubt that Frost is the worst coach in Nebraska history. But how is it possible that going into this season we actually achieved this incredible low?

Political ads on this site

As posters we are told by the mods to stay away from political and religious posts. And I think that is a good thing. So why is it now that every time I access this site I have to put up with an obnoxious political ad which is apparently tailored to each one of us since the ad I see is an anti-Republican ad for the election here in Pennsylvania. The ad is offensive and hateful, as so many political ads on both sides of the aisles are. So I guess this is jolly ol' America where money rules everything and so Rivals feels the need to make money by posting political ads even as it bans us from discussing politics. That pisses me off, Rivals.

Volleyball Nebraska lands 2023 No. 5 recruit Laney Choboy

Things just got a lot more interesting Thursday night when Nebraska volleyball received a commitment from 2023 L/DS No. 5 recruit Laney ChoBoy. The North Carolina native originally committed to Minnesota, but switched gears after Gopher head coach Hugh McCutcheon announced his move into a higher position within the athletic department.

ChoBoy was teammates with Maggie Mendelson and future Huskers Harper Murray, Bergen Reilly and Andi Jackson on the USA U19 team that competed at the Pan American Cup.

ChoBoy adds another jewel to the Huskers crown of a recruiting class in 2023. ChoBoy adds a security blanket at the L/DS position in case senior Kenzie Knuckles doesn’t come back for her super senior season.

Here is the current class:

No. 2 Harper Murray
No. 4 Bergen Reilly
No. 5 Laney ChoBoy
No. 7 Caroline Jurevicius
No. 13 Andi Jackson

An open letter to Trev Alberts, Ronnie Green and the boosters who decided to bring back Frost

F--K YOU. Every single one of us who have spent this wasted season arguing about pointless shit and interim coaches can thank you for wasting yet another entire year of Nebraska football. This never should've happened. Whatever decision gets made in the next 3 weeks will probably be a terrible one, because I question the intelligence of the crew that gave us this 2022 season.

Nebraska Football - the gift that just keeps on giving.

Geoff, good article, agreed, and makes we want to puke when I read mickeys quotes on qb rotation

i find it unoforgivable. I was ranting last night and after an extra hour of sleep this morning was over it. Then I read Geoff's article, which I agree with. Take away all the three and outs, etc this is a different game of course, and the Defensive numbers would have been that much better. Mickey's quotes just pissed me off again. He may be part protecting player(chubba) but is talking in circles and he was not ready to make the right decision for his team, and it was an extremely obvious decision. Sick of hearing about chubba was in because we needed to throw. We were not that far behind for one, and two there was absolutely no arm strength or accuracy coming from #6 and it wasnt even close. No poise and a turnover machine(he got very lucky on some throws). Very disappointing, I do believe Mickey cost his team this game because he was not ready to make a decision.

How can anyone look at our stats and think Mickey is the answer?

I understand that there are more things to look at than stats when evaluating a HC. But our stats are really really bad. Just about worst in every defensive stat, and in the middle of the conference on offensive stats. But the real kicker is we've played the 3 worst teams in our 4 conference games. Our stats and wins should have been piling up. Rest of the season isn't going to be as easy as the first part that we struggled with.

Statistically this will probably be our worst defense ever and the offense won't be good. Mickey does not look like the answer to the HC.

OL and DL Difficulty

It was mentioned several times during the game yesterday as to how young the Nebraska team was versus a Senior-Upper Classmen Dominated team like Minnesota. I hadn’t given that any thought during the year. I looked it up.
