Football Matt Rhule makes appearance at Nebraska basketball game

The head football coach made an appearance at halftime of the Husker basketball game against Purdue. He grabbed the mic, and said some words. Here's a quick rundown:

Love how coach Rhule is setting the foundation at Nebraska!

Since we fired Solich I have been waiting for Nebraska to go out and get a proven winning coach. Coach Rhule is the first proven winning coach that Nebraska has hired since hiring Bob Devaney in February 1962! Let that sink in a moment.

Now Rhule is taking his time and interviewing a number of candidates at each position and then making his hire. He is getting for the most part young energetic coaches that love to recruit and are willing to continue to learn. I am not sure how the wins will look in 2023 but he is going to build a solid foundation first then the wins will come. He is not looking for a quick fix. I know many would like that but for the sake of the Nebraska program it needs to have the foundation established first so we can start winnning consistently for many years to come again and I am all for!

Volleyball Louisville survives Oregon

No. 1 seed Louisville comes back from 2-1 down to beat No. 3 Oregon 25-23, 23-25, 13-25, 27-25, 15-6. The Cardinal wins its own regional and gets back to the Final Four.

They’re the first of four teams to earn a spot in Omaha tonight. Texas leads Ohio State 1-0 right now. Wisconsin-Pittsburgh and Stanford-San Diego also play tonight.

National fanbase study

Didn’t see this posted anywhere (sorry if it’s a duplicate post and will delete this if so). But I found this on another board and thought it was worth sharing. It’s in-depth analysis of fan base size, with a ton of data and a few eye opening numbers.

Fanbase Analysis

If it’s not interesting, blame it on the fact that this is the first Saturday without a steady stream of football games in a long time, and I have nothing better to do.
