Many of our losses in the last five years have been due to the inability

to make a big defensive stop late in the game. Busch has improved the D but we lack the big playmaker at safety and at LB and on the edge. When was the last time a huge sack or TFL sealed the deal in any of the close games? I get it that the offense was the main problem yesterday but sometimes the D steps up to end it- but with us that is almost never. We need a JJ Domann type guy or a Sean Taylor elite safety that can make the difference. Is this kid Gould gonna pan out? Hausmann appears to be a player. Need a difference on the edge - a five star stud if at all possible. If we get LL the offense will get fixed but we need more studs on D. The portal guys were busts. I think the Polar Bear has some potential and my upgrade with better coaching like Suh did.

Recruiting Dylan Raiola has decommitted from Ohio State

Dylan Raiola, a five-star QB and the No. 1-ranked overall player in the country, has decommitted from Ohio State. The Nebraska legacy, who is the son of Nebraska Hall of Fame OL Dominic Raiola and the nephew of Huskers OL coach Donovan Raiola, has reopened his recruitment.

What this means for his potential to land at Nebraska is uncertain. But the Huskers have their foot in the door and are back in play again.

Trev isn’t building up to anything

The value to making an announcement sooner rather than later is that it provides hope. There has been no hope or good news this season.

Trev doesn’t seem to realize that our fans are so beaten down and demoralized that there may not be much excitement about the new coach. Our fans were discouraged about the last 20 years, but this “season” we didn’t show up for was the last straw.

His silence in this lost season isn’t leadership.
