Football Blackshirt Breakdown: Jay Foreman takes closer look at Tony White's defense

The Blackshirt Breakdown is back, and this week @Foremanjay5655 takes a look at Tony White and his 3-3-5 defense. Check this out — Jay does a great job explaining how White goes about defense, and dives into things the new coach will need to tweak, or adjust, now that he's in the Big Ten.

Recruiting Nebraska set to host committed prospect this weekend

After checking in with some sources around the network, I can report that the Huskers will host Charlotte ATH Kyron Jones this weekend for an official visit.

Jones committed to NC State on Oct. 1. but an offer from Notre Dame made him think things over. Lately, a major push from Georgia has gotten Jones to take multiple trips to Athens, including an official visit last weekend. Georgia is a team to watch but they'd like to see him flip to play in their secondary. It's unclear at this time whether the Huskers want him as a running back, defensive back or a true athlete that they will just figure it out with later.

Jones ran for 1,346 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior. He also caught 20 passes and had 43 total tackles. Jones is also a state track champion in the 100m and 200m

Football Transfer Tracker [UPDATED DEC. 13]

About to be an absolutely wild, unprecedented stretch of player movement across CFB with the first-ever 45-day transfer window running from Dec. 5-Jan. 18

Players are already entering the transfer portal even though they can't officially sign with a school until Dec. 5, with a few exceptions such as grad transfers (like QB Cade McNamara) who can transfer at any time. The number for Nebraska was up to seven going into Saturday morning.

An important note as mentioned in the story: Just because a player enters the transfer portal does not mean that he must transfer. If a player explores his options, decides he wants to come back and the coaching staff wants him to come back, then he can rejoin his original program.
