Analytical coordinator

I think Nebraska should hire a person that does nothing but research and collect analytical data and put them in a format that the coaches could get odds on the play working in real game time scenarios.

This could help them decide whether they go for a 4th and 2 from at the oppents 40 yard line and what are the odds they make it. I know that some of this is already out there but I think it could be used alot more and help with the play calling.

How weak was Bama this year?

Barely got by Texas, who just got beat by Washington.

Barely beat Ole Miss, who got smoked by Texas Tech.

Lost to a 9-4 LSU in a rivalry matchup.

Squeaked by 5-7 Texas aTm.

Lost a battle at Tennessee.

Their most convincing win may have been a 49-26 victory at Arkansas who toppled powerhouse KU in OT.

Hoping KSU can pull off this upset (although, I’m not looking forward to the “we should have hired Klieman” rejects) and shake the SEC back down to earth.

Is this season really deserving of a #5 overall ranking?

Fourth best class in the B1G

Rhule and staff just put together a top 30 class that is the fourth best in the B1G. And he did that with a short amount of time and not even a full staff. I remember reading something where Rhule said that when he was on the road recruiting it was apparent that the Nebraska brand is still very much alive. I thought when I read that that it had to be an exaggeration. But it isn't. After six straight losing seasons and seven losing seasons out of the past eight, you would be hard-pressed to find another P5 conference team that could still draw in recruits and transfers the way NU can. No... we are not among the elites in our recruiting. And we may never be. But there is no damn reason we cannot compete for B1G titles year in and year out. There was a time that many of us on here remember that a losing season would have been considered a catastrophe. Heck, a two or three loss season was cause for us to say "what went wrong this year?"

Those days are coming back. And the days of losing seasons are over. I am calling it. GBR!

Faith in Humanity -at least with Nebraskans-Restored

I had a fantastic night at PBA last night watching the Huskers dismantle the Hawkeyes.

After the game, the group I was with, stopped on our way back to Omaha, for a beer and a burger.

I was shocked to discover when we got out of the car that I no longer had my wallet which I had at PBA. What a sick feeling that is!

Quickly found the number for lost and found at PBA, and dialed, with a faint hope to see if some good soul had maybe turned it in.

To my amazement, when Jen in PBA Security answered my call, she immediately confirmed that my wallet had been in fact turned in, and also still had the 2 twenties, that were in my wallet, along with my credit cards and drivers license. Made arrangements for them to hold and I went and picked it up from PBA this morning with all contents in it.

I would like to thank the fantastic person who turned it in. If anyone, can confirm with enough specifics about details of finding it, I would like to provide a thank you gift. Way to go to my anonymous new best friend. My faith in Nebraskans to always do the right thing is restored. DM me so I can properly thank. GBR

I know Rhule likes QBs Who Can run but they must pass well 1st and foremost

Every good team has this component whether you run a lot or pass a lot on office or your strictly balance. The quarterback has to pass well, or you have no chance to be good. just look at how bad Iowa was in our game when they didn’t have a quarterback who could pass well

and we better stay balanced play calls. Kstate even pass run 1/st half state is nowhere in this game if they can’t throw the ball.

I just don’t want to go back to the Taylor Martinez and Adrian Martinez days where they run better than they can throw and they don’t take care of the ball… make all kinds of mistakes in pass game.. you just can’t have that at the QB position matter how much they run that’s a loser vs all good teams.
