Nebraska fans are finally going to get what they have been wanting – an actual game for the spring game.

Rhule: “Playing football is fun. … We’re just gonna play a game. We’re trying to learn how to win. There’s an ebb and flow to a football game that I think is really important as you react to the situations. We’re gonna play it out.”

OT: Hand forged custom knives…

An old high school classmate of mine hand builds/forges some amazing custom knives. All hand forged damascus, razor sharp, exemplary build quality. All come with a hand, tooled/fabricated leather sheath. They’re not cheap…but quality never is.

I own a couple, and can vouch for the quality.

Anyone interested, DM me and I’ll give you the deets.

Nebraska Greats Foundation Banquet Last Night

Great fund raising event last night in Elkhorn at the Relevant Center for Jerry Murtaugh’s Nebraska Greats Foundation. Oregon Coach Dana Altman was the main guest and had many K-State and Creighton stories. Nick Baugh subbed for Kyle Korver, who was a late scratch because of NBA team playoff commitments, in a fun exchange of stories with Coach Altman. Coach Rhule, Governor Pillen, Eric Crouch, Johnny Rodgers, and Jerry Murtaugh were all there.

Good stories of help that the Foundation has provided to Nebraska college athletes including NU BBaller Bernard Day, and CU Josh Jones who were in attendance and shared their stories.

Thanks to all the volunteers that spend many personal hours to support this charity. Great Event!

Football Frank Solich is back in the building (w/ full press conference video)

Frank Solich is back in the building at Memorial Stadium.

The Nebraska football legend has made his first return to the facilities in nearly 20 years to be honored at halftime of tomorrow's spring game.

He met with the Nebraska media on Friday afternoon for a little over 15 minutes to talk about his return, why he was ready to come back, some of the memories from his days with the program, his belief in Matt Rhule, the direction of Husker football under the new head coach and plenty more.

Solich: “It makes a lot of sense to be back. I spent a lot of time on that field. ... Coach Rhule, when he got to town he got a hold of Coach Osborne. He texted me some, we texted back and forth and talked on the phone maybe once, maybe twice. That wasn’t happening before, so I just felt welcomed in that manner ... and knew it would be good to get back and be a part of what Nebraska’s all about again."

Football Feeling welcomed, Frank Solich isn't staying away anymore

Good stuff from Frank Solich today. He touched on a lot.

“Coach (Matt) Rhule, when he got to town he got a hold of coach (Tom) Osborne,” Solich said. “He (Rhule) texted me some, we texted back and forth and talked on the phone maybe once, maybe twice. That wasn’t happening before, so I just felt welcomed in that manner and knew it would be good to get back and be a part of what Nebraska’s all about again. I looked forward to it, and I’m glad I’m here.”
