Fire Foley.

If the players don’t know wtf that’s on Foley. Dude sucks stop down playing it
Foley isn’t on the field and none of us know what the protection scheme was supposed to be. Banderas said in the postgame that our back shield guys screwed up. Foley’s a grown up. He’ll take the blame. He either needs to have them better prepared or replace guys who can’t execute their assignments.

Hohl was getting destroyed on here when the missed kicks weren’t all on him. Tonight a head coach known for some of the best special teams in college football schemed up punt blocks. We had a blocking breakdown. BUT no I’m not defending the player that blew his assignment. Ultimately Foley should bear the brunt of the criticism but most of the posters on this board have no f’n idea who screwed up.
I never mentioned the kickers name. I thought Ed Foley should be fired.

Tennessee goes down too

Has NIL created more parity in college football? A few players here and there can elevate a team to another level. I really don’t know how the best teams can stockpile talent and have them wait indefinitely.

If OSU wins it all then I guess you can buy a championship via NIL. If someone else wins it, the jury is still out. Not sure we have enough data to know exactly how NIL will impact the national championship race. But OSU is definitely making their case that you can buy a championship if you have the means…

You are right. I can't name the players who screwed up the last 9 times so far this year on special teams.

RVP, James Williams, and other observations

Just a couple of thoughts. It was interesting to see Van Poppel play. That's his 3rd game, I believe. I was surprised to see him, but they must have made the decision that they needed to play him in this game against a good running offense to shut them down and get this win.

James Williams is an awesome story. I don't know what happened to his family, but the interview after the game was pretty intense. It's impressive what he has done. He's a sophomore and is the best pass rusher we've had since Randy Gregory. He's going to make serious waves by the time he's done at NU.

No Carter Nelson was a surprise. No Gabe Ervin, that I saw. I actually liked the RB rotation, for the most part, for just about the first time all season.

Special Teams need a new leader. The punt protection team and field goal team are bad. The coverage teams are average. Return teams are very average. Foley needs to go.

Are you defending this disaster?
