NIL Money and Lack of Playing Time

Can cause a real attitude issue when players feel they aren’t playing nor getting the attention the desire. And it’s harder now that they all have money in their pockets and the Portal looks attractive.

This stuff happens in the corporate world every day. College Football teams are not exempt.

Without a strong finish to the season, the bloom is somewhat off the rose and I’ll be looking for some unwanted attrition.

Huskers QB commit TJ Lateef finishing prep career in style, ready to compete at Nebraska

People talk about him leaving, but I don’t see it. What would be his rationale, that he was misused? His tape clearly shows that he’s got issues that he needs to work on. He’s not exactly balling out, trying to save his team

Yes his rationale could be exactly that he was misused. Whether it's true or not is irrelevant. One only needs to believe it. We as fans (most of us anyways) all feel like Satterfield was ass. Who's to say the Raiola's don't feel like Dylan was set up to fail playing under the tutelage of Satterfield? That's clearly a plausible scenario imo.

Again I'm not saying it'll happen. I haven't heard anything nor do I know anything. But imo that's a very realistic way that situation can be viewed if one wanted to leave for greener pastures.

Fwiw I agree with you that DR has a lot to work on. HE has to improve a ton as well. Which is why I also say we need TJ to get here and hopefully be as good as advertised. Because as a fan I'm still not sure what we have in DH. No clue about DK either so he's I want a great QB and it's not a given that we have one.

That’s some pretty flawed logic. Not making it here, but will be a star at another school.

Maybe or maybe not. He's a big athlete. He's not a polished guy who will just come in and thrive immediately at WR. If what they say about his work ethic is true it's hard to take the next step if you are not willing to put the time in.

We as fans always look at these kids with their HS star rating in mind. After a couple years on campus that thing means absolutely nothing anymore.

If I'm being honest Id be more disappointed if a 2/3 star guy like Lloyd decided to leave. He's actually made plays when given an opportunity. His work ethic is also never been into question. May not have the upside based on size but every other intangible id take him over Coleman and the speed is a wash.

So I'd say if we were losing a kid who worked hard on his craft and was more likely to reach his potential it would bother me. But if this is the case with MC and the rumors of his work ethic are true I'm not nearly as bothered.

For comparison sake what would be the difference physically between MC and a guy like Quentin Clark? I guess absolutely nothing and Clark apparently is a hard worker who is likely to put the time in to be better. I'll take the trade off. Stars be damned..

Husker Nation is LOGGED IN AND LOCKED IN! (mods plz read)

I don’t agree with all the Preacher talk but there could certainly be a case made for it. It’s not like he’s pulling stuff out of thin air. His tone is different than what I would do but he’s a fun read and the board is better for him being here.

But the fact that I disagree doesn’t mean I want to limit the communication of opposing sides. Good grief - all of our social media does that for us already.

All that to say - forums or communication outside your personal friend groups may not be your cup of tea.

You are preaching to The Choir, my friend.

Wow!

Extremely bad luck for Ohio St. They just lost their starting Center for the rest of the year to a torn Achilles Tendon Tuesday in practice. Seth Mclaughlin who was the starting Center for Alabama last year who tranfered. Shitty luck for their OL as now it's 3 starters down for the season. That just upped Indiana's chances to win Saturday. I got money on tha game. I bet on State.

DH is here to help HCMR get the roster down as an extra pair of eyes.

You get DH to find taxis for the problem kids and those who aren't in it to win. The guys whom it's between the ears.

HCMR gets to walk out and say it's painful and DH gets to play "Bad Cop" and trim the fat loose.

HCMR gets to keep the good will when the purge ends.

You just saw roster bloat spot #1 fall... More to come.
