NW is not good, but we didn’t self destruct or act like a clown show. So objective progress.

They had coaching staff turnover, this was the third straight game against P5 teams that they gave up a play of 50+ to open the game. Sparty hit them with a 75 yard TD run on the first play week one, a 50 yard pass by Duke on play one, then the 70 yarder to Toure yesterday on play one. Their new DC may not last long at this rate.

But ultimately I think we may be turning a page, this team is a handful of plays from being 6-0 and a top 10 team.

Northwestern is bad, but Nebraska hasn’t taken care of bad conference teams like that since maybe the Solich years.

It’s definitely a positive, and if the team builds on it could be a huge shot in the arm. I thought the play calling was great, and seems to have gelled into our own type of offense as the year has rolled on.

I just hope the offensive line continues to improve, I think that’s what’s been holding Nebraska back.
