There are studies that not only does Viagara aid in what we all know, there are also multiple studies that show a small dose has shown a 69% improvement in reducing the onset of Alzheimer's. Currently, there are 3 main drugs to treat/slow down Alzheimer's in the $ 1 Billion annual prescribing of those drugs, none of which have been proven to work, and they cost a small fortune.
I know there will be the typical smart-asses on here that will make light and mock this post. It hasn't stopped me from
posting controversial topics before, nor will it now. Fortunately, I don't have Alzheimer's nor do I intimately known
anyone suffering from that debilitating illness. But, for those who are dealing with a loved one afflicted by that incurable
illness, this at least offers an alternative.
Not that it's important, but about 3 years ago I had surgery on my brain due to an enlarged pituitary growth that has
caused an issue with my left optic nerve. The neurosurosurgeon had to cut away areas that were nearly touching my
brain. After the surgery, my immediate short term memory suffered. In other words, if I was talking and someone interrupted, many times, I couldn't remember what I was talking about, but could remember it in maybe 5-10 minutes.
So, since I'm 70 years old, and me taking Viagara is something I have thought of using on occassion, I did read that study several months ago, and in taking a very low dosage, I find, and my wife has even said, that my short term intermediate memory is as good as ever.
Now is that a placebo effect? I doubt it, because I've told my wife to interrupt me every once in a while to see if this is placebo like or has it in fact helped that area. There is no question, it has helped immensely. That doesn't mean it would/could help anyone else, but as far as I'm concerned, it was well worth my effort.
I'm just throwing it out there guys, do with it what you will.
