Jamie Nance is N

https://nebraska.rivals.com/news/jamie-nance-commit-what-does-it-mean-for-nebraska-7. Nebraska assistant Ryan Held is a recruiting machine. He's been the lead recruiter, or played a major role, in well over half of Nebraska's 11 commits thus far for its 2019 recruiting class and he's got plenty of other possible targets left out there who could eventually end up in Lincoln. Held is responsible for the state of Oklahoma, which is an area that NU is beginning to have more and more success in. Nance gives the Huskers two commits from the Sooner state so far for 2019.

Sweet sassy molassy man, lay off whatever youre taking. Or take more and solve world hunger.

His highlight is definitely a lot of him running away from people. I'd like to see more of the plays that aren't TDs, sometimes you can learn more about a kid's game from a 7 yard gain than you can from a 60 yard TD.

He's got a whole senior season ahead of him, for all we know he'll be a 4* by the time it's all over and we'll be thumping our chests about how smart SF and co. were to be ahead of OU and OSU in their own back yard.

Bottom line is you can coach attack point, route running, getting off jams, reading zones, etc. You can't teach speed. There will be 20 kids a year coming out of the cornfields looking to be nice possession receivers at Nebraska with no scholarship. Sheer numbers dictate that there will be kids available to have good hands and get tackled.

Expecting elite WR talent to flock to us that also meeting the speed requirement is not realistic at the moment. They didn't flock to Oregon right away either during the Chip Kelly era.

Kids that are young, early years in high school, and middle school will be able to watch the Frost offense do its magic and the interest will grow. Most of those WR kids will still end up along the coasts, but getting a couple here and there will eventually happen.

Nance fits all of the requirements - speed, natural catcher, can play CB well, state champ in track, and the speed translates to both sports.

It appears to me they put more trust in Husker Power to fill these fast dudes out. 160 lbs would scare away most teams I suspect but not Coach Frost.

Sorry.

Shout out to SC, the Trojans, and the rest of the classic Pac 12 for closing most of the high 4 and 5 star WR too. We can't get them either.

But Frost will be murdering you with speed very, very soon.

And once we tip the scale, Holy Christ, watch out America

There’s a football factory forming outside Oklahoma City at J.D. Runnel’s gym.

His latest gridiron undergrad is Blanchard’s Jamie Nance who captured a commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday.

“I dreamed about this as a kid from watching college football on Saturdays,” Nance said. “From a young age I just knew if I worked hard for it I knew it would come. Here I am sitting here, talking about it and making it all come true.”

Runnels quickly caught on to the fact he was working with a receptive receiver.

“He listens, he looks to you and he actually gets the things that you’re trying to get across to him,” Runnels said. “He tries to understand it. He’s an awesome kid.”

When it comes to Nance’s new home north of here he didn’t take in any of the stereotypes that come with the college or area.

“Thinking when you’re going up to Nebraska that you’re going to be seeing a lot of cornfields, which you do, but once you enter Lincoln it’s incredible,” Nance said. “The stadium’s unreal, 90,000 people. The average kickoff is 70 degrees, and that’s what I like.”

As for the Cornhuskers classic clashes with the Sooners …

“I’ve been caught up on that,” Runnels said. “About, say, two years ago I was told they used to be going at it.”

“If I have to go to Lincoln, and watch OU play Jamie deep down I’m going to be jumping up and down, but I can’t show that in front of all those people,” Runnels said.

The definition of trust is the belief, truth or reliability in something or someone, and that is what Nance put in Runnels when the Cornhusker commit first came to J.D.’s gym.https://kfor.com/2018/07/01/former-sooner-star-j-d-runnels-helps-cornhusker-commit-jamie-nance/

I think we have a good chance of a few players being upgraded to 4*'s in their senior seasons, Beav. If you look on 247 Sports, many of our players are very high 3*'s, just a few tenths away from a 4* rating. A good season may bump a couple of them to 4 star status.

Is he even 160? I'd bet he's quite a bit lighter than that.

Long layoff between Fryar and Enunwa in terms of huskers WRs contributing in the NFL. Niles Paul has done (surpringly) very well, but mainly as a special teamer and tight end/h-back.
