I miss the old Big 8. Not the Big 12. Texas controlled everything and were constantly flirting with other conferences. We were proactive. We were smart. That's why we left for greener pastures. Winning solves everything. Once we start winning again nobody will care what conference we are N. Well, except maybe Kong.

It's a project that is still scheduled to open for the Huskers in the summer of 2023, and certainly it would seem a strong selling point to potential coaching candidates as well.

My hatred for the Big Ten far predates Nebraska being a member. It will endure whether Nebraska stays or goes.

Big10 already has a pecking order. It doesn’t matter how much money is added to that pool, it’s not going to change the pecking order. The Big12 is guaranteed a spot(s) at the playoff table. The B12 will still need to establish a pecking order. A couple of perennial playoff contenders are going to emerge from the B12 and those teams are going to be a considered a powerhouse like Miami and VT were in the Big East before they bounced.
As a pretty impartial observer, from a fan perspective, I see more potential for national relevance out of ISU and KSU than I see from Iowa and Nebraska. I just see more potential of those two making the top 2 in the B12 more often than I see UI and NU making it in the B10. If Nebraska was in the B12 they would probably have a guaranteed spot in the playoffs most years like Oklahoma has. In the B10 I’m guessing Nebraska can realistically be there once every ten years if the program builds solid.

Wonder if those figures are taking OU/Texas and USC/UCLA into account. Dollar signs will likely be going up and up for the Big 10 and SEC as the arms race continues. I'm likely in the minority here but I am somewhat glad we're no longer in the sinking ship known as the Big 12
I think they are factored in. Look at the big jumps in money for the Big 10 and SEC during those years. Big 12 will be at the bottom of the Power 5 payouts.

The BIG is unquestionably the best path to cash and the playoff. It has been for the entirety of our time in the conference. We have just stunk too much to take advantage.

I like being in the Big10. I just despise most of the teams in the conference, except for a few, and will always root against them whenever they play against most other schools not named Texas.
