Game day!! GBR!!

You worry a little bit about the tendons of somebody that explosive at that young age. Strengthen the structure around the knee please.
It might just be the angle of the camera, but I always want to see the ankle, knee and hip in alignment as a perfect unit.
His right foot is slightly toe-in which forces the right knee less than aligned with the hip.

You can see the ankle, knee and hip are not in perfect alignment.
There again, we're not running track, but with his length its important to equally stress all three parts.

It's possible his right hip is tilted just a freckle.

I hope Malachai runs track at the U, cause they will clean up some little areas. They'll take .1 or .2 tenths off his time.

I bet you the first thing they do is strengthen his ankles.

Both TO and DK are physical freaks.

Coleman is a stick figure. Here’s hoping he puts in the work in the weight room & at the training table.
He should. But he could weigh 205 and still look thin. Lots of lean muscle tissue on this athlete. Barring injury, I wouldn't be surprised by next fall he's sitting at 215-220. Probably even better speed and more explosiveness.

We worked out with Carl Lewis in '94 when he was about 6'2" 175, he was lean but stronger than a mofo. Malachai has that same type of body, just not quite as fast. lol

Billy Kemp was a true freshman in 2018. Kemp, who's a little guy, has put on 17#'s since January, and he's 4-5 years older than Malachai.

You would assume D-1 University of Virginia had a decent/good S & C and nutrition program.

He has potential but people need to relax. There are other freshman WR ahead of him, he's raw.
When NU has 4 really talented true freshmen WR's, I've been kind of an advocate of initially pegging them 1,2,3,4 and then play one for a game, then the #2 kid the next game and so on. After those 4 games decide which two you may want or need for this year, play the other 2 kids their 4 game limit and then redshirt them.

The PROBLEM is these young kids were the studs in their high school career and they wanna play. So with some of them, if you don't give them a chance, and even blow a redshirt year, that portal might seem like the place for them.

Unfortunately I believe a lot of freshmen across the nation will hit the portal after the season. It's inevitable these days. That's why I think these initial recruit rankings for a class mean much less now than they used to mean in the past. The coaches that may have an advantage are those that can create an atmosphere that fosters a higher retention rate of recruits.

I "think" he just turned 18. I couldn't find his birthdate, but I know in Dec '21 when Nebraska high school athletes were allowed to do the NIL, he was only 16 years old.

He has the type of bone structure that says about 6'6".

Did you know there’s only 1 WR over 6’4” in the pro football hall of fame?

He was who I was thinking about

Carmichael (6’8”) was a good call

I stand corrected - 2 HoF WRs over 6’4”

Still likely a smaller number than many would think
Your point is still valid. I wouldn't have guessed it. And to be fair, I doubt many have ever heard of Harold Carmichael.
6'4" seems to be a soft max for really good WR in the NFL. Personally when I think WR, I think 6'4" is the ideal size, but obviously a misconception.

How tall is Randy Moss? Talk about lean muscle and an explosive "skinny" guy.

And what about Brandon Marshall. Will he get in the HOF?
You are correct. Moss is 6"4. I even looked that up but misread.
Brandon Marshall is 6'5. I was going to say it would be unlikely, but looking at his stats, I could see him making it in sometime.
