Can’t wait for the crying Jays fans

Guys went to the seminary, then dropped out as soon as their draft number was announced if high enough. Otherwise, they stayed but never ordained. It's a well kept Jesuit secret outed in recent books about the church.
That is crazy...

Yep, telling your team to be classy in an incredibly emotional time is over the top. Telling your team to keep their heads up after a tough loss is over the top. Makes sense.
The sad piano music was over the top Mr. Sensitive

This is correct, but it wasn't limited to Catholic seminaries. Divinity students of every stripe gained an exemption. Some clergymen even protested the policy, because they didn't want to be a haven for people avoiding the draft.

strange how one starred at ames, then failed a N. while the other failed at ames, then starred at omaha.

McDermott changed his entire offense and recruiting philosophy when he went to omaha. Hoiberg tried to do the same things he did at ISU when he came here (which failed). And now he's finally adjusting to the B1G and the current landscape of CBB. Just gotta get results now cuz I think it's approaching too little too late. But Trev loves him.

There is a lot of truth to that!

Jesuits are great at educating and raising money.

Agree on the raising money part, but not so much on the education part. They are in education all over the place but unfortunately, they forget to include anything "Catholic" as part of the curriculum. Most of the time, it is not unreasonable to ask if the Jesuits even consider themselves Catholic.
