Men's Bracketology: It's official, the SEC is a juggernaut

For the first time in a long, long time, a team not named Kansas is the top overall seed. Instead, it's Auburn, as the SEC takes over the bracket.

Nebraska is back on the bubble but still coming in at an 11 seed. Minnesota, Rutgers and the close loss to Illinois... DAMNIT! I believe they need to sweep Michigan; beat Penn St, Rutgers and Minnesota while snatching a win AT Ohio St or Indiana would be huge. I still hold out hope for the two road wins because their big 10 tourney draw could be harsh.

Conference
Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin and Northwestern are getting in the tournament with a few caveats.

The love affair for Michigan St is starting to fade away. Nebraska and Northwestern have more wins vs projected tournament teams. People say, "but look at Michigan State's schedule" - ok, it proves they can lose to good teams. They get the chance to show off against 3 projected tournament teams peppered with a couple of tough road games in their final 8 games.

Northwestern is the caveat. So far their record is solid with one bad loss (Chicago St). They have 3 1/2 tough road games remaining on their schedule (Rutgers is the half depending on which team shows up).

Indiana is the team that could disrupt some things. They have zero wins against projected tournament teams but 5 of their last 8 teams are against tourney teams and four of those are at home.
