There’s been talk of this in the Big 12,
also (Baylor)

Nothing new to helmet comms, but new to CFB nonetheless

Before they get around to encrypting DR's helmet comm they should show what's said up on the stadium's big screen. Then we could critique Satterfield in real time. 😎

NU's communication is on based AI block chain with encrypted on and off ramps..

I incorrectly assumed the NCAA had a system that would prevent a scanner from intercepting calls. Silly me. I saw a team on TV still signaling in calls from the sideline and wondered why they would do that. Maybe they knew.

This would make me feel so much better about the IU game instead of thinking our coaches and players are that bad.

He learned from bama and studying Michigan. That explains a lot about how they anticipated our plays both on offense and defense

There will be on going updates. There is always a way to steal this communication, encrypted or not. I figured this would be an issue at some point. I just thought the company that provides them wasn't crooked and had their shit together.

"There's no real advantage," one Big 12 chief of staff argued. "One, you're speaking a different language. Two, if you think you'd be able to enact in real time what they say and try to do it on the field, you're delusional. You're just being your stereotypical paranoid football coach. You can't relay it to the kids fast enough."

Well what the heck was everyone thinking. Why or what changed from radio transmission prior to helmet. We've had headset radios for decades

LOL they aren't crooked. I know the owner/partner now. Good dudes. The NFL has been using this tech for years.
