I'd be very okay with either of them as DC. Leonhard knows the B1G and Justin might be looking for a job at some point. Thoughts?

We’re selected on the top 3 All B1G conference teams for offense/defense/specialists, of which neither of the two players made the first team. And one of those players was a one and done portal transfer.

I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I am sure it is similar in the past 5 years. My point with this post is once again there is not nearly enough talent (recruiting) nor development. It’s absolutely sickening. This ladies and gentlemen is why Frost doesn’t have a job and we haven’t been to a bowl game since 2017.

I am optimistic this changes with Matt Rhule and Co.

He brought some dawgs in that could cover and lay some big hits! Watching his secondary was one of the bright spots of the Frost era.

Rhule’s Texas footprint, NIL benefits at Neb., lack of talent/production between Smothers and Purdy leaving a gap between Casey and Torres/Haarberg (not that they’re the future either), and the fact Casey isn’t a guarantee to return yet seem like good reasons to go after the kid.

I had said earlier in the week that your team scared me. I SWEAR that I went into the game yesterday feeling as though we would lose. And, it was mostly because I felt the Husker would play up to their potential. I knew we would have trouble moving the ball on you guys. And, Thompson and Palmer were incredible. I am glad we won't see them again! Also, Congrats on the new hire. I think he will BRING it for your program and get you back to where you are used to being. I only hope that we can somehow fix what is wrong with our program. I said it before...but I would LOVE for our Black Friday matchup to be the most important game of the year.

Looks like Fickell will be bringing his DC Mike Tressel with him to Wisconsin. Which should mean Jim Leonard is available. JL at DC and Bobby April at LB coach, would be a huge haul for any program. I hope Rhule at least kicks the ires, even though they aren't in his circle of trust.

I kept wondering what Mickey thought when Trev talked about the coaching search and having been focused on MR and knowing he was a good fit etc. It seemed that Trev had his mind made up and did not plan to hire Mickey. I like Mickey and I think MR seems to have what it takes to be successful. I’m sure it would be letdown to listen to that when you hoped to have a chance at the position even though everyone knew there was a search. It would be human nature to assume you had a chance and not just be a “last resort” candidate. Just something I felt bad about for Mickey.

In 2019 the Baylor bears beat 4 teams with winning records and ended 11-3 on the year.
2018- wins with winning records against Abilene Christian, Okie state and the bowl game was 6-6 Vanderbilt in a 7-6 season for the bears.
2017- only win against 1-11 Kansas
2016 at Temple- 2 wins against teams with winning records. 10-4 and won AAC against Navy
2015- 3 wins against teams with winning records including penn state and finished 10-4.
2014- 1 win against a team with a winning record and finished 6-6.
2013- no wins against winning records.

Madi Kubik, Lexi Rodriguez, Kaitlyn Hord and Bekka Allick were all named to a Big Ten postseason team Wednesday morning. Kubik and Rodriguez were unanimous selections on the first team while Hord and Allick were both selected to the second team.
