Basketball WBB: No. 11 Maryland 69, Nebraska 54

We're just under 30 minutes until Nebraska (12-7, 4-4) takes on No. 11 Maryland (15-4, 6-2) for the Title IX/Alumni game at PBA.

The Huskers are coming off a come from behind win at Purdue. Since losing to NU on Dec. 4, the Terrapins have won eight of their last nine. Nebraska is 1-15 all-time versus Maryland with that early December win the first victory over the Terrapins in program history.

Jalen Hurts Shotgun Style

Watching the Eagles game yesterday I noticed Jalen Hurts gets down almost like a baseball catcher to receive the snap out of the shotgun. I recall watching him at Alabama and he stood very upright with his hands above chest high when in the shotgun.

Obviously this must be something the eagles have taught him. So I’m wondering does this put him in a better position to run the play, or maybe is it easier for the center to make a lower shotgun snap.

Just thinking with the high snap problems we have had, this might be something to try.

Path to 85

It probably has been talked about, but I then missed it. Sorry. As of yesterday we are at 97 scholarships. The scholarship distribution chart shows 96, but does not have TE Arik Gilbert listed. Without names how many scholarships would be reduced to get to 85. Here are the current numbers and my reduction is within the parenthesis for that position group.

QB Currently 6 (-1)
RB Currently 6
WR Currently 14
TE Currently 7 (-3 between WR and TE)
OL Currently 13 (-1)
DL Currently 11 (-2)
Edge Currently 5
LB Currently 9 (-2)
Nickel Currently 4
CB Currently 9
S Currently 9 (-3 between CB, S and Nickel)
ST Currently 4

Currently 97 (-12)

I did not look at the distribution by position by year group, and I know you would have to take that into account.

So tear me apart and tell me where I am wrong.

What’s The NFL doing?

First NFL negotiated contract Thursday night with Amazon prime and resulted in plummeting viewership.

Now next year NFL is contracting with YouTube TV for another nights game or same night.. how many streaming services do we have to subscribe to watch what should be on ESPN or networks etc

Paying 220 ish with cable TV internet now

So buying one time Roku for multiple TVs and streaming via any decent channel selection like cable has and it’s almost same difference 110 or 120 internet plus 80 TV streaming

who can’t stream ABC CBS NBC ESPN? just do that then or FOX. we shouldn’t have to Subscribe or cancel, then re-subscribe and then go to another streaming service has the NFL can’t sit still. Is NFL really getting that much more $$ by contracting with them if viewership is significantly down?
