CBD Topical Cream?

I have a daughter in high school that twice injured her knee a year ago in basketball. (Strain first time, then kneecap was kicked out of place)

She is constantly in pain, but the Dr says that will not go away until she is done growing. She wears different knee braces and K Tape to keep the kneecap in place. The doctors say she just has to deal with the pain.

Well, she LOVES sports and refuses to think about quitting, but Ibuprofen and Tylenol do absolutely nothing for the pain.

I've been told that CBD oil or CBD cream could help.

First of all, are CBD oil (drops under tongue) and/or CBD cream to rub on it legal for NSAA athletes?

Second, does it actually work and how well does it work for pain? Does it reduce pain to zero? Greatly reduce pain? Slightly reduce pain?

Has anyone used it? Are there any other alternatives for knee pain?

Say 'no' to a 12-team playoff.

A few things not being discussed (to my knowledge anyway):

Expecting players to play another 3-4 games after their conference championship. That will allow too many more intense games for injuries. This does not bode well for any team short on depth, like a Cinderella team who could upset somebody once, but will never make it through a gauntlet. It also will not settle who the best team is. Likely there will be a great team who's QB and/or other impact player(s) get hurt, and after the playoff games it will be "They really were the best team all season, but their QB got hurt in that second playoff game." It will not settle, but only change the conversation, about who the best teams really were.

And secondly how do they plan to get star players to play an extra four games, further risking their pro career, with no extra money? I expect a union to be created, and players to get a big chunk of the money. Then we will get the holdout drama of pro sports every couple of years.

And does anyone really think any team outside the top teams every year, really have a chance anyway? (No, they don't.)

Besides that, teams with the most depth will win these wars of attrition. Say hello to the same 3-4 teams winning it every year, like it is now. Including worse teams with weaker rosters will not change anything. It will amplify it.

CFB is killing the golden goose by always chasing the dollar. Know enough when to leave it alone.

Iowa Western football

I watched some of the Reivers' playoff game last night vs. a higher-seeded Northeast Mississippi and they just mauled them in a 33-12 victory. Spent some time looking at IW's roster, just loaded with kids from all over the place but espescially the southeastern recruiting hotbeds of Florida, Georgia, etc. Particularly of note was how IW's offensive line gets after it. Pure aggression. Caleb Jones from Beatrice is a 6'4" 300lb freshman that starts at RG. With the kind of talent that this JUCO has right in our backyard it's pretty crazy that we've basically ignored them. I hope Rhule develops a relationship there and is looking at that roster.
