Here's a quick preview of the game from @Zack Carpenter:

Recruiting The curious case of Nebraska linebacker signee Eric Fields

I spoke with a coach over at Ardmore High School to get the lowdown on Eric Fields recruitment and game. Found out some interesting information about him. Hit the link…

Bobby Mills 1991 All State Football Project

Bobby Mills is a huge high school football fan and writer for the GI Independent. Him and Bob Jensen follow Nebraska HS football and can be seen at games all over the state.

Bobby does these projects where he goes through the all class playoffs and all state teams from year to year. Todays is the 1991 team. It’s pretty neat to see the all state teams and all of the players that played at NU as key contributors and starters.

Wilhite's departure

What does Wilhite's departure mean about what's going on in the Athletic Department? Was Kenny not getting the job done, or is Rhule going to eliminate the walk-on program, or is it an effort o remove any vestige of the past and simply try to build a new program from the ground up? I remember another guy that tried to do that and he went out on his butt after a few years.

Coaches jumping ship out of Minnesota?

I know that they recently had their running back coach (now HC at Kent State) and Co-DC/CB coach (now at Wisconsin) and DL coach (heading to Purdue) all make moves.

Now their OC might be headed to Rutgers?

I prefer to think that people are tiring of Fleck's antics rather then because of FB success

But it levels the playing field just a little bit for that season opener
