LeBron Rumor

A source close to the Lakers franchise tells me some players on the roster are furious LeBron openly discusses trading them for key players in order to improve his legacy. An anonymous player said Lebron is like a kid when he doesn’t get his way. Won’t talk to players after a loss, refuses to run Darvon Ham’s plays. The locker room is being slowly divided because they think the team is better than what Lebron thinks.

Wrestling FINAL: No. 8 Nebraska 27, No. 23 Rutgers 10

It's looking pretty sparse this morning at Devaney on this Super Bowl Sunday, but we're getting ready for a ranked showdown between No. 8 Nebraska hosting No. 23 Rutgers. The Huskers have been on a roll having won nine of their last 10 duels including a 25-16 thrashing of No. 5 Ohio State on Friday. The Scarlett Knights didn't have as much luck on Friday as they dropped a 33-8 duel to No. 1 Penn State at home.

We have three possible ranked matchups today including No. 5 Liam Cronin vs. No. 16 Dean Peterson at 125. You also have No. 5 Brock Hardy vs. No. 19 Joseph Olivieri at 141 and No. 15 Lenny Pinto vs. No. 14 Brian Soldano. Considering it's a Sunday after a Friday night duel on the road, you might see some backups fill in, but we'll see.

You can watch today's action on BTN+.

Is Hunter Sallis a Bust?

The former 5 star is in his second year and still coming off the bench for Gonzaga. I don't see his draft stock improving with his limited playing time. Maybe he'll enter the portal and come to Lincoln.

Meanwhile at St. Mary's College this true freshman, Aidan Mahaney, is the real deal. He torched the Zags last night for 18 points in the win.

Revolvers...

Discussion among relatives. Does a Colt revolve clockwise or counter-wise. A quick Google check said "Why do guns revolve clockwise?" A safe check showed a Ruger Security-Six that rotated counter-clockwise, a S&W Airweight that did also and a Charter Arms Police Undercover that rotates clockwise. I owned a sweet Diamondback in the 70's but do not remmber which way she turned.
Only Colt owners need to reply.

Softball Courtney Wallace tosses third shutout in three days in 2-0 win over Virginia

Courtney Wallace completed a memorable weekend at the Houston Invitational by pitching a complete game shutout in a 2-0 victory over the Cavaliers to close out the three-day tournament. Wallace allowed only six hits while striking out four batters and walking one.

Wallace also tossed five scoreless innings in a season-opening win over Lamar on Friday before shutting out host Houston across seven innings on Saturday afternoon. In total, the graduate student gave up zero runs on 12 hits in 19 innings with 14 strikeouts and four walks over the weekend.

On Sunday, first baseman Mya Felder hit a two-run homer to center field in the fourth inning for the only score of the game. Wallace also went 2-for-2 at the plate and was the other run brought home on the Felder home run.

The Huskers wrap up the weekend 4-1 and will now head down to Las Cruces, New Mexico to take part in the Troy Cox Classic. Their first opponent will be Oklahoma State on Friday, Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m. as the Cowboys are the ones who knocked out Nebraska of the NCAA Tournament last spring.
