Colorado Bison Hate Week.

Feel free to drop all of your hopes and dreams and hateful rhetoric itt, the holiday cut us a day short so we’re already behind the pace.

I have done a Phil Jackson-esque cleansing ritual [pictured below] so don’t worry, this won’t have any cosmic bad luck consequences on the actual game, it is a safe place.

Best thing I saw in the game today

It wasn't a particular player or coach, but it was the team as a whole. It was a team that played under control, yet still physical and with passion. A team that played for each other.

I thought that was clearly shown by the Freshmen that played. Starting with Raiola, but on to Shavers, Barney, McGahee, Sanders etc. It was shown by the 3rd and 4th string guys that started playing in the 3rd quarter. It was most evident when UTEP did some huge presnap shifts against our 2nd/3rd team guys, and they knew what to do, where to be, what their responsibility was and then they did it as physical as possible.

One helluva job by the coaches and players to have no breakdowns when there must have been 100+ players play in the game. We had 15 guys targeted in the passing games, 11 guys with a rushing attempt, played 3 OLs, and were at least 4 deep on some defensive positions.

Some folks aren't big on culture. But this is what it looks like. A team that plays together, plays physical, is prepared, knows what to do and plays to the standard that they have been practicing to and held to.

Great job by everyone involved and especially Coach Rhule for getting it there.

Volleyball Game Thread FINAL: SMU stuns No. 2 Nebraska, sweeps Huskers in Dallas

UPDATE:

FINAL:
SMU sweeps Nebraska, stunning the No. 2 Huskers with a clean sweep in Dallas (25-23, 25-21, 25-18)

2nd-ranked Nebraska opened the VB season with a Top-10 win over 9th-ranked Kentucky, then rattled off wins over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and TCU over the weekend in Lincoln.

Now, the 3-0 Huskers are set to face their third consecutive team from the state of Texas as they square off with SMU on the road in Dallas.

Match starts at approx. 7pm CT on ACC Network. It will be live streamed on WatchESPN.com and available on the radio on the Huskers Radio Network's volleyball affiliate stations, in addition to the audio feed being aired online on Huskers.com and on the Huskers app.

Here's a full preview of the match with notes, stats and players to know:

Just starting to rewatch to look for more details. Feel free to give yours.

1st TD drive, 24 actually blocked well, 1 pass play and 1 run. I've seen him play since HS and was never super high on him so wanted to point out he looked better blocking.

OL looked good run blocking. Pass plays 54 got beat twice on the edge, 1 causing a hurried throw and incompletion. Twice after that they used a back to help chip the outside rush, also once for TC. This is going to be a problem against better pash rushers.

23 looks like a different person from Spring running the ball. The TD was beautiful with left side of line moving defenders and 24 pulling.

Great first drive for 15

RB's

1. Emmit
seems to have everything but being a power back and not sure about break away speed..stays healthy
2. Rammer
seems about the same as Emmit but more weight..hurt last year
3. Donte
I was impressed, minus the turnover (see rhule). defiantly a goal line back
4. Gabe
not sure he is as shifty as 1 & 2. defiantly a goal line back

(I might be biased cause emmit stayed healthy, and reminds me of the jet)

I can see why it is difficult to pick one when they all seem to bring something
