Rewatched Illinois

I’m going to get crushed for this. But on re-watch I feel like we played way better than the general vibe this week. We had 5-6 plays that could have ended the game in our favor in the last 5 minutes. We didn’t make a single one. But man are we close.

On that final drive we were running down hill, hitting guys on play action. Raiola had the underneath and the deep route open and just air mailed it.

Here’s to hoping we bounce back this weekend against Purdue. If someone said preseason we would be 4-1 after 5, I think most of us would have taken that.

Strength and Conditioning

Not sold on Campbell. The 2nd half performances in all 4 games are a cause for concern. I was at the game and the team looked totally gassed midway through the third. Many players on the bench and the sidelines looked like they were going to pass out. This is an issue that hasn't been talked about a lot and might explain their poor 2nd half play. Discuss.

@mods: need to modify the board rules

i've probably read the rules once - long ago. i had a reason to revisit tonight.

a correction/s is/are in order:

1. No pornography, nude photos, or suggestive content that toes the line (overt sexually charged poses for example). This includes content posted within spoiler tags.

this should read:

1. No pornography, nude photos, or suggestive content that goes over the line (overt sexually charged poses for example). This includes content posted within spoiler tags.

toeing the line is exactly what you want people to do. but you do not want them going over the line. hence the intended rule.

2. Political posts in non-political threads in an attempt to troll or derail a conversation will be deleted.

wait. i thought political posts were not allowed period. seems a silly rule. unless i missed something recently, i think you mean:

2. Political posts are not allowed.

8. Willful spread and encouragement of harmful misinformation will be deleted.

respectfully this is a dumb rule. i mean who the hell decides this? we recently went through a couple years in this country where the biggest spreader of misinformation was the u.s. government. only after months or years do some things come to light and some realize that what had been determined to be misinformation, was indeed accurate information. sorry, but if y'all don't know the difference between toeing the line and going over the line, i do not trust you to know misinformation when it does, or does not appear.
now, if you wish to appoint me to be the judge, i'd consider it and we'd all probably be better for it.

for the record, i don't expect #8 to change. but ya should correct #1. and maybe #2.

lastly, where is the prohibition against religious posts in the rules? i was actually reviewing the rules to see if there were a distinction between a religious post and a spiritual post. they are absolutely not the same thing. though frequently conflated by non-spiritual types thinking they are the same thing.

anyway, i'm kinda bored, so there ya go.

oh, and GBR!!!

Groundhog Day

I know it’s only one loss, and I wasn’t feeling good about ill for some reason but i just can’t get over the feeling we’re stuck in cycle of repeating ourselves on stupid playing and play calling and I like coach Rhule I think he’s a good coach and the sad part is it’s the upperclassmen that are the issue the young players are working their asses off
